Edna Buchanan (born 1939) is an Native American journalist and author best known for her crime mystery novels. She was one of the first female crime reporters in Miami as she reported for the Miami Beach Daily Sun, and the Miami Herald as a general assignment and police-beat reporter. She also won a Pulitzer Prize in 1986 for general reporting
