Hart to Hart

[opening narration]

Max:
This is my boss, Jonathan Hart - a self-made millionaire. He's quite a guy. This is Mrs. H. She's gorgeous. She's one lady who knows how to take care of herself. By the way, my name is Max. I take care of *both* of them, which ain't easy; 'cause when they met... it was *murder*!

Stanley Friesen:
Remember the burglary on the sister ship Josephine about a year ago?

Jonathan Hart:
Yes.

Stanley Friesen:
And *you didn't want a heavy insurance investigation?*

Jonathan Hart:
Well I thought it would be like hanging out a sign: Cruise at your own risk.

Stanley Friesen:
Well the insurance people weren't too happy about that. And then you know about the other burglary on the Maria Louise? Six months ago?

Jonathan Hart:
Yeah, I caught that in your report.

Carl Johnson:
That did it for the insurance guys. They canceled out flat.

Jonathan Hart:
Well I don't blame them, *but we can't afford the publicity.*

Jennifer Hart:
[There's a knock on the bedroom door] Come in.

Max:
[Max walks in carrying a vase full of fresh cut flowers from the garden. Mr. Hart is sitting on the edge of the bed in a three piece suit petting Freeway. Mrs. H is wearing a white robe sitting across from him on a chaise lounge] Hi Mrs. H. What's he doin' home?

Jennifer Hart:
[Mrs. H looks at Max with a small smile and raised eyebrows] He had a proposition for me.

Max:
At this hour?

Jonathan Hart:
[smiling] We know several tricks with mirrors.

Jonathan Hart:
[Opens car door]

Jennifer Hart:
[Glances up and catches sight of Jonathan] YOU!

Jonathan Hart:
Would you mind getting out of the car. I want to talk to you for a minute.

Jennifer Hart:
Well, I don't want to talk to you.

Jonathan Hart:
For just one minute, would you please get out of the car, so I can talk to you. Then, you'll never have to see me again in your life if you don't want to.

Jennifer Hart:
One minute?

Jonathan Hart:
One minute.

Jennifer Hart:
[Gets out of the car and stands in front of Jonathan. She glances at her watch] You have 50 seconds left.

Jonathan Hart:
Turn around.

Jennifer Hart:
What?

Jonathan Hart:
Please. Turn around.

Jennifer Hart:
[Turns around reluctantly and wonders what it is Jonathan wants her to see]

Jonathan Hart:
[Makes a signal with his hand as banners reading "Will you marry me?" appear on the London Bridge]

Jennifer Hart:
[Turns back toward Jonathan and laughs] You're crazy.

Jonathan Hart:
How about you?

Jennifer Hart:
After all the trouble we've been through, you want to marry me?

Jonathan Hart:
Well, I'm sure we won't get into trouble on a weekly basis.

[Jonathan opens the car door]

Jennifer Hart:
[Glances up and catches sight of Jonathan] YOU!

Jonathan Hart:
Would you mind getting out of the car. I want to talk to you for a minute.

Jennifer Hart:
Well, I don't want to talk to you.

Jonathan Hart:
For just one minute, would you please get out of the car, so I can talk to you. Then, you'll never have to see me again in your life if you don't want to.

Jennifer Hart:
One minute?

Jonathan Hart:
One minute.

Jennifer Hart:
[Gets out of the car and stands in front of Jonathan. She glances at her watch] You have 50 seconds left.

Jonathan Hart:
Turn around.

Jennifer Hart:
What?

Jonathan Hart:
Please. Turn around.

[Jennifer turns around reluctantly and wonders what it is Jonathan wants her to see]
