Nova ScienceNow

Nova ScienceNow (styled NOVA scienceNOW) is a spinoff of the long-running and venerable PBS science program Nova. Premiering on January 25, 2005, the series was originally hosted by Robert Krulwich, who described it as an experiment in coverage of "breaking science, science that's right out of the lab, science that sometimes bumps up against politics, art, culture". At the beginning of season two, Neil deGrasse Tyson replaced Krulwich as the show's host. Tyson announced he would leave the show and was replaced by David Pogue beginning season 6. The show has yet to be renewed for a seventh season, as of 2018. It was intended to return with more new episodes in 2015, but did not happen for whatever reason.

DeGrasse, Neil Tyson:
Yeah, I sing. Okay, I'm not great. Alright, I'm terrible. But, here's what I am wondering. If digitally you can remove red eye, smooth over wrinkles, make people look thinner... Then why don't we have the technology to make me sing better? Can we fix Neil?

Hildebrand, Harold Andy:
We can fix Neil. We can fix Neil's Pitch. But, he's still going to sound like Neil though!

DeGrasse, Neil Tyson:
My pitch is all over the place. If anything, it's closest to this note, here.

Goger Malo, Justin:
Neil, you sang an F, which normally is okay, if you're in the key of F. And we're not, so we moved your F to an E.

DeGrasse, Neil Tyson:
So Justin gently nudges it down to where an E would be. You're changing the frequency of the sound that came out of my vocal cords.

Goger Malo, Justin:
Actually, yes.
