Your mysterious box - what's in it?

August W. Booth:
It's awfully frustrating not knowing, isn't it?

Emma Swan:
Just tell me.

August W. Booth:
Why? Is it illegal to carry around a box in these parts?

Emma Swan:
No, of course it's not.

August W. Booth:
You really wanna know what's inside it, don't you?

Emma Swan:
No. Well, maybe.

August W. Booth:
I'm gonna make you wait. You're gonna have to wait a long time and watch me carry it around, hauling it to strange and mysterious places. And with each passing moment, the mystery will become more tantalizing. Your imagination will inflame, but so will your frustration, never knowing, only guessing, what could possibly be inside that box! Or... you could let me buy you a drink sometime, and I'll tell you right now.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Love's the worst. I wish there was a magic cure.

Rumplestiltskin:
What can I do for you?

Snow White:
I need a cure.

Rumplestiltskin:
What ails you, doll?

Snow White:
A broken heart.

Rumplestiltskin:
Ah, the most painful of afflictions.

Rumplestiltskin:
Love is the most powerful magic, so the cure must be... extreme.

Snow White:
Extreme sounds like an understatement.

Rumplestiltskin:
Love makes us sick, haunts our dreams, destroys our days. Love has killed more than any disease.

Prince Charming:
Now that I know that you love me too...

Snow White:
I don't.

Prince Charming:
...What?

Snow White:
Love you. I don't. I'm sorry. You said I would always be in your heart, and... that is too cruel a fate. Go live your life. Live it without me, because there is no place for us together. And fill your heart with love for someone else - someone who can love you the way I never have. The way I never will.

Grumpy:
Are you OK, sister?

Snow White:
[tearfully] Not even close.

Grumpy:
You didn't find him?

Snow White:
Worse. I lost him.

Grumpy:
Come on.

Snow White:
Where are you taking me?

Grumpy:
Home. We all lost someone today.

Doc:
Now we're seven.

[Grumpy stops Snow from erasing her memory of a lost love]

Snow White:
You of all people should understand. You've lost love. What if your pain could be erased?

Grumpy:
I don't want my pain erased. As wretched as it is, I need my pain. It makes me who I am. It makes me Grumpy.

[last lines]

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
What are you doing here?

David Nolan:
It's 7.45.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
I know.

David Nolan:
Well, I'm trying not to see you.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Well, I am trying not to see you.

David Nolan:
Well, how do we stop seeing each other?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Apparently, we can't.

David Nolan:
This is a problem.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Yes.

David Nolan:
[of his wife] She is not pregnant.

[they kiss passionately]

Robin Hood:
Where I come from, a simple "thank you" will suffice.

Evil Queen:
Where you come from, people bathe in the river and use pine cones for money.

Evil Queen:
What do you see in me?

Robin Hood:
Evidently the same thing you see in me. A second chance

Prince Charming:
Why do women keep their shoe boxes?

Snow White:
Because after true love there is no more powerful magic than footwear. It has to be protected.

[first lines]

Prince Charming:
I will find you, Snow. I will always find you.

Black Knight No. 1:
Be hard to do that without your head.

Prince Charming:
What do you know of true love?

Rumplestiltskin:
Well, not so much as you, perhaps, but not so little as you might think.

Prince Charming:
You? You loved someone?

Rumplestiltskin:
It was a brief flicker of light amidst an ocean of darkness.

Prince Charming:
Why do you want us together? What do you get out of it?

Rumplestiltskin:
I'm a fan of true love, dearie. And more importantly... what it creates.

Prince Charming:
Where is the beast that reigns over this castle?

Maleficent:
That would be me. But 'beast' is so harsh. I prefer 'maleficent'.

Prince Charming:
[after rescuing Snow] Will you marry me?

Snow White:
What do you think?

Emma Swan:
All I care about is saving Henry.

Mr. Gold:
Which is why it's your lucky day. I didn't use all the potion. I saved some, for a rainy day.

Emma Swan:
Well, it's storming like a b*tch.

Regina Mills:
Magic here is unpredictable.

Belle:
I'm sorry, do... do I know you?

Mr. Gold:
No. But you will.

[Emma has broken the curse]

Mother Superior:
[to Regina] If I were you, Your Majesty, I'd find a place to hide.

[last lines]

Belle:
I-I don't understand...

Mr. Gold:
We're in a land without magic, Belle, and I'm bringing it. Magic... is coming.

Belle:
Why?

Mr. Gold:
Why? Because magic... is power.

Snow White, Mary Margaret Blanchard:
[respectively] You found me.

Prince Charming, David Nolan:
[respectively] Did you ever doubt I would?

Emma Swan:
[attacking Regina] You did this!

Regina Mills:
What the hell are you doing? Stop this! My son...

Emma Swan:
Is sick because you! That apple turnover you gave me, he ate it!

Regina Mills:
What? It was meant for you.

Emma Swan:
It's true, isn't it?

Regina Mills:
What are you talking about?

Emma Swan:
It's true, isn't it? All of it.

Regina Mills:
Yes.

Emma Swan:
I was leaving town. Why couldn't you just leave things alone?

Regina Mills:
Because as long as you're alive, Henry will never be mine.

Emma Swan:
He'll never be anyone's unless you fix this.

Regina Mills:
There's one other person in this town who knows about this, who knows about magic.

Emma Swan:
Mr. Gold.

Regina Mills:
Actually, he goes by Rumpelstiltskin.

Emma Swan:
August? Please open up. I know you're in there, open the door.

August W. Booth:
[weakly] I can't.

[Emma forces her way through the door; Booth is lying on his bed, with two wooden arms]

Emma Swan:
No. What's happening to you?

August W. Booth:
You can see it now. You believe.

Emma Swan:
Yeah, I... I do. But how do we stop this?

August W. Booth:
Break the curse.

Emma Swan:
I'll try, I promise. But I got to save Henry first, and I need your help.

August W. Booth:
No, you don't.

Emma Swan:
Yeah, I do. This is all too much. I just talked to the Evil Queen and Rumpelstiltskin about a quest to find magic. I can't do it, August. I can't. No normal person can.

August W. Booth:
Luckily for us, you're not normal.

Belle:
[Emma has lifted the curse. Belle stops walking, a look of realisation on her face] Wait.

Mr. Gold:
No, it's just up here.

Belle:
Rumpelstiltskin, wait. [Gold stops walking and turns slowly to face Belle. Belle walks up to him] I remember. [smiles] I love you.

Mr. Gold:
[Gold smiles and they embrace] And I love you too.

Grumpy:
Uh, Red, you know, you got someone on your chin.

Regina Mills:
I do hope you like apples.

[Snow White and Prince Charming, separated by a glass wall, are pining for each other, when Charming is suddenly replaced by the Evil Queen]

Evil Queen:
[laughs] I just had to stop you. I have no interest in cleaning tongue marks off my mirror.

Blue Fairy:
Fairies, attack!

Evil Queen:
I wonder if you'll be quite so incorruptible after your precious Snow is gone.

Prince Charming:
Whatever she did to you, leave her alone and take my life instead.

Prince Charming:
Losing my life for love, that's a sacrifice I am happy to make.

Red Riding Hood:
Why is the Queen doing this?

Snow White:
I destroyed her happiness... and now she wants to destroy mine.

Snow White:
Stop trying to talk me out of this. The castle is secure. I'm going.

Grumpy:
Keep the little knife between your tuffets.

Snow White:
I promised I would come alone and unarmed. It's a parley. There are rules.

Red Riding Hood:
You're too noble for your own good.

Snow White:
I'm not. But enough of you have risked your lives because of something that's between the Queen and me. I will not let anyone else get hurt because of me.

Evil Queen:
Did you know that apples stand for health and wisdom?

Snow White:
So why do I get the feeling that one might kill me?

Evil Queen:
It won't kill you. No, what it will do is far worse. Your body will be your tomb; and you'll be in there with nothing but dreams formed of your own regrets.

[August is showing Henry his arm]

Henry Mills:
It's wood.

August W. Booth:
Yes.

Henry Mills:
All of this... I was right. The curse, it's real!

August W. Booth:
You're a smart kid.

Henry Mills:
And you're Pinocchio!

August W. Booth:
What gave it away?

Emma Swan:
I don't wanna be sheriff. I don't want people relying on me. I don't want this, any of it.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
What about Henry?

Emma Swan:
I took him with me.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
[clarifying] You abducted him?

Emma Swan:
Maybe.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
So you don't want people to rely on you, but you took your son. Now, that sounds like a stable home for him. What the hell is wrong with you?

Emma Swan:
I want what's best for him.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
And running is what's best for him? Or is that what's best for you? You're reverting, Emma, into the person you were before you got here; and I thought you'd changed.

Emma Swan:
You thought wrong.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Well, regardless, you have to do what's right for Henry now.

Emma Swan:
What's that?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Oh, I don't know. *You're* his mother. That's *your* job, so *you* figure it out.

[spoken like a mother to her daughter]

Mr. Gold:
Come on, you might as well get everything off your chest.

Regina Mills:
I don't know what you're talking about.

Mr. Gold:
Henry. Ms. Swan wants him.

Regina Mills:
She'll have that boy over my dead body.

Mr. Gold:
The curse was meant to take away Snow White and Prince Charming's happiness. Perhaps you giving up Henry is just the price to keep the curse unbroken.

Regina Mills:
I think I'd rather just get rid of her.

Regina Mills:
I wanna strike a new deal. One where I can get rid of Emma without shattering the curse.

Mr. Gold:
Unfortunately for you, a negotiation requires two interested parties; and I'm already planning a trip.

Regina Mills:
I'll give you anything.

Mr. Gold:
Oh... You no longer have anything I want, dearie. But I will give you a piece of advice, free of charge: I'd plan a trip of your own. Because once people waken up and remember who you are, and what you did to them... [chuckles]

Mr. Gold:
...they are gonna be looking for blood.

Regina Mills:
I found a solution to my Emma Swan problem.

Mr. Gold:
Oh, yes?

Regina Mills:
An old, reliable solution.

Mr. Gold:
A sleeping curse... Might I ask how you managed to obtain one here in Storybrooke?

Regina Mills:
By sacrificing the last bit of magic I had left.

Mr. Gold:
So you made magic *from* magic. Well, I'm sure I don't have to remind you that, um... all magic comes with a price.

Regina Mills:
Then you can pay it.

Regina Mills:
The deal's not done. Not until I solve the next conundrum. How to get this savior to taste my forbidden fruit.

[Emma has decided to leave Henry in Regina's custody for his own safety]

Henry Mills:
No! No, you can't trust her!

Emma Swan:
I have to. It's my only choice. It's what's best for you, Henry. Every time I fight her, someone else gets hurt.

Henry Mills:
No, no, no! You're just scared. This happens to all heroes. It's just the low moment before you fight back.

Emma Swan:
Henry! This isn't a story! This is reality. And things have to change. You can't skip school; you can't run away and... you can't believe in curses.

Henry Mills:
You really don't believe?

Henry Mills:
I'm sorry it had to come to this. You may not believe in the curse, or in me. But I believe in you.

[he eats from the poisoned apple turnover... ]

Hook:
Welcome aboard, Baelfire. It's a pirate's life for you.

Mr. Gold:
To the end of the world.

[Leroy intends to bring back Clark's/Sneezy's memories with an elixir]

Mr. Gold:
So you're gonna wake your friend up, to tell him he's about to die?

Mr. Clark:
I don't want that.

Leroy:
Shut it, Clark! He wants to know who he is and be with his family, no matter how much time he has left.

Mr. Clark:
Not if I'm gonna die.

Leroy:
[to his fellow dwarves] Let's take him back to Granny's. Do it there.

Mr. Clark:
Hey... Hey, guys... If I don't have a family, will I still die?

Leroy:
[handing Gold another vial with the elixir] This is for you.

Mr. Gold:
And what am I supposed to do with that?

Leroy:
Belle once helped remind me who I was. I've never forgotten. I want to return the favor. Don't let her die as Lacey.

[the device to destroy Storybrooke has been activated]

Emma Swan:
I can feel it. It's like the oxygen's being sucked out of the air.

Regina Mills:
Not the oxygen. The magic.

Regina Mills:
You were right, you know. Everything that's happening, it's my fault. I created this device. It's only fitting that it takes my life.

Emma Swan:
What am I supposed to tell Henry?

Regina Mills:
Tell him that in the end, it wasn't too late for me to do the right thing.

Emma Swan:
Regina, please.

Regina Mills:
Everyone looks at me as the Evil Queen - including my son. I may die as Regina.

[Emma suggests that everyone get away from Storybrooke, rather than risking all by trying to save the town and Regina]

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
But it's wrong. Emma, I killed her mother.

Emma Swan:
You did that to Cora because you had to.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
I did it because it was easy. It was a mistake. There were other paths - harder paths, and I wish I had taken them. So, please, Emma, honey... let's take the hard path. Because if we don't, we will be building a future on Regina's blood.

Archie Hopper:
Snow White and the Prince have always led us before. And we've always won. So, who is willing to let them lead us again?

Hook:
Live to fight another day, mate.

David Nolan:
I'm not your mate.

Regina Mills:
What are you doing here?

Henry Mills:
You were willing to die to save us. That makes you a hero. And now we're gonna be heroes.

Emma Swan:
What the hell are you doing here?

Hook:
Helping.

Emma Swan:
Well, you're too late.

Hook:
Am I?

Emma Swan:
I thought you didn't care about anyone but yourself.

Hook:
Maybe I just needed reminding that I could.

Mr. Gold:
I brought magic to this world to find Bae. And now he's dead. Magic always has a price, and th-this, this is it. But I'm prepared to pay it.

[Henry has been kidnapped]

Mr. Gold:
The prophecy. The boy is my undoing. But he's also my grandson. I must save him. I must do this to honor Baelfire. He's gone, and I didn't even get the chance to say goodbye.

Belle:
Baelfire would be... very proud of you.

[last lines]

Twin #1:
If that's not the boy he's looking for, do you think we'll be able to find him?

Felix:
Of course we will. May take time, but... Peter Pan never fails.

Baelfire:
If I tell you something, will you promise not to tell the crew? They may become frightened. My father-the reason I don't speak of him is because... he's the Dark One. He once was a man, but when I got drafted to the Ogre Wars, he wanted to protect me. So he went in search of the Dark One's Dagger. And once he got it, he grew obsessed with the power it gave him.

Greg Mendell:
See, we came here to destroy magic, Henry. But then we found something more important. Something that changed everything. You!

Regina Mills:
I love you, Henry. I just wish I was strong enough to stop all this. I'm just not.

Emma Swan:
You may not be strong enough, but maybe *we* are!

Tamara:
Unlike you Hook, we believe in something. We have faith in the sacredness of our cause.

Hook:
So your sacred cause is pilfering a dwarf's pick ax?

Hook:
I think threatening to kill me is a bit redundant considering we're all about to die anyway.

Belle:
The future isn't always what it seems. I *will* see you again.

Emma Swan:
Why should we trust you?

David Nolan:
We don't have to. If he tries anything, I'll shoot him in the face.

Hook:
Quite hostile, aren't we?

David Nolan:
Just being clear.

Ariel:
You tricked me?

Evil Queen:
You went to a long-dead octopus for advice and you blame me for your problems?

Evil Queen:
Next time you let someone fall to their death, make sure they're actually dead.

Black Knight #1:
She looked dead.

Evil Queen:
No. Death looks more like this... [Snaps his neck]

Regina Mills:
We have history together.

Mr. Gold:
That would explain the distrustful look on her face.

Evil Queen:
The only thing worse about telling your prince how you feel and rejecting you is... never telling him at all. Never knowing. Never even having... a chance at true love. That's right, dear. He's gone. Time to swim back home... little mermaid.

Snow White:
Remember what I taught you. What's this? [holds up a fork]

Ariel:
Mini-Trident. Salad-Trident.

Snow White:
Fork. Salad fork.

Mr. Gold:
If you think summoning a giant squid is the answer, I've already tried that.

Regina Mills:
You've had fun, haven't you? I have no intention of ordering calamari.

Snow White:
Emma, I get what you're doing, I know. You don't want to open yourself up to the hope that he's alive, but you should.

Emma Swan:
Why?

Snow White:
Because you deserve a happy ending, Emma. And happy endings always start with hope.

Regina Mills:
Focus. Concentrate.

Emma Swan:
It's kind of hard when you're talking in my ear.

Regina Mills:
And when the wind blows, or it's raining, or someone's shooting arrows at you. Yes, concentration's hard. That's the point.

Ariel:
You really know nothing of your mermaid mythology, do you?

Snow White:
Probably about as much as you know about people mythology, I think!

August W. Booth:
There have been many authors throughout time. It's a job, not a person, and the one trapped in here was just the last tasked with the great responsibility. To record... to witness, the greatest stories of all time and record them for posterity. The job has gone back eons: From the man who watched shadows dance across cave walls and developed an entire philosophy, to playwrights who tell tales of poetry, to a man named Walt. Many have had this sacred job. Great women and men who took on the responsibility with the gravity that it deserved.

Snow White:
Because heroes do what's right... not... what's easy.

Captain Hook:
You promised me the truth, not a bloody tour.

Emma Swan:
The truth is tricky. You have to look for it.

Young Cora:
Are you The gardener?

Jonathan:
Well, I'm not Prince Jonathan. Of course, there is no Prince Jonathan.

Young Cora:
You lied to me. You took my heart, my virtue, my My good name.

Jonathan:
I took? [laughs] You practically forced it into my hands when you thought that I was a prince.

Snow White:
Regina, I've seen what life has thrown at you, and you still fight against the darkness every single day. Sooner or later, your heart will find it's way to happiness.

Evil Queen:
[sighs] that doesn't feel possible.

Snow White:
But it is. I know you, and you feel things deeply, with or without it, you feel things with your whole soul. Don't let anything hold you back.

Zelena:
"Envy" is just another word for ambition.

Evil Queen:
Well, that's just... not true.

Prince Phillip:
[after waking Sleeping Beauty] You, my love, need rest.

Princess Aurora:
I've had my fill of rest.

Leroy:
The curse? It's broken?

David Nolan:
It would appear so.

Ruby:
So, what do we do now?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Now? Now I find my daughter.

Emma Swan:
[appearing behind them] So it's true.

[Mary Margaret and David turn to face Emma; they share a long silent look, then Mary Margaret embraces Emma, crying]

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
You found us!

Henry Mills:
Grandpa?

[Mary Margaret laughs]

David Nolan:
Yeah, kid. I suppose so.

Henry Mills:
She did it. She saved you.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
She saved all of us.

Mother Superior:
Magic. It's here. I can feel it.

Henry Mills:
Magic? In Storybrooke? You're the Blue Fairy. Do something magical!

Mother Superior:
It's not quite that simple, Henry. No wand, no fairy dust. Matters are complicated now.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Is there anything that you want to ask us? You must have questions.

Emma Swan:
The only questions I have are for Mr. Gold. Why did he double-cross me and what did he do to this town?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Uh... sh-shouldn't we talk about... "it", first?

Emma Swan:
What?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Us? Your life? Everything?

Emma Swan:
Can we do "everything" maybe later, like, with a glass of wine... and several... bottles?

David Nolan:
I know it's a lot to take in, for all of us.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
And we don't want to push, but we've waited for this moment for so long.

Emma Swan:
Yes, so have I! I've thought about this moment my entire life. I've imagined who you might be. But of all the scenarios that I concocted, my parents being... I-I just need a little time, that's... that's all.

Archie Hopper:
Dr. Whale's whipped everyone to a frenzy. They're going to Regina's house. They're gonna kill her!

Leroy:
Great. Let's watch.

Dr. Whale:
[pounds on Regina's door with the mob behind him] Open up! Open up, or we're coming in!

Regina Mills:
[opens door and smiles sweetly] Can I help you?

Dr. Whale:
That smirk? Isn't gonna last forever, Regina. You took everything from us, and now...

Regina Mills:
What? Now you're gonna kill me?

Dr. Whale:
Eventually. But first you need to suffer.

Regina Mills:
Listening to you has been enough suffering for all of us. That's right. You wanted to see your Queen? Well, my dears. Here - she - is!

Mr. Gold:
Magic is different here, dearie.

Regina Mills:
You here to finish the job?

Mr. Gold:
No, no, no. You're safe from me.

Regina Mills:
I feel so relieved.

Mr. Gold:
I made a promise to someone that I won't kill you.

Regina Mills:
Who could elicit that from you?

Mr. Gold:
Belle.

Regina Mills:
She's alive?

Mr. Gold:
You are... a dreadful liar.

Regina Mills:
I could've killed her, but I didn't.

Mr. Gold:
Yeah, you did much worse than that. You kept her alive, so you could kill her when it suited you - a fate worse than death.

[Mr. Gold is marking Regina with a medallion]

Regina Mills:
Is that...?

Mr. Gold:
Yes, dearie. The one thing no one can escape. Destiny. And I promise, yours is particularly unpleasant.

Belle:
You lied to me.

Mr. Gold:
No, I kept my word. I - will not - kill her.

Belle:
No. You toy with words. Like you do people. You're still a man who makes wrong choices. I thought you'd changed.

Mr. Gold:
[scoffs] What, in the hour you've known me?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
We need to talk.

Emma Swan:
I... well, I don't... I just... I don't want to talk.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Well, I do. Okay? Gold can wait, I can't. And you're my daughter, and... I want to talk to you. I know that we have talked; but... we didn't know that we were talking. And we talked about things we probably shouldn't even have talked about - one-night stands and the like.

David Nolan:
One-night stands?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Whale.

David Nolan:
Whale?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
We were cursed!

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
We're together, finally. And I can't help but... think you're not happy about it.

Emma Swan:
Oh, I am, but... see...

[sighs]

Emma Swan:
Here's the thing. No matter what the circumstances, for 28 years, I only knew one thing - that my parents sent me away.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
We did that... to give you your best chance.

Emma Swan:
You did it for everyone, because that's who you are - leaders, heroes, princes and princesses, and that's great and-and amazing and... wonderful, but... it doesn't change the fact that for *my* entire life... I've been alone.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
But if we hadn't sent you away, you would've been cursed, too.

Emma Swan:
But we would've been together. Which curse is worse?

Emma Swan:
[to Mr. Gold] Maybe I don't need answers. Maybe I just need to punch you in the face.

Emma Swan:
What was the purple haze that you brought?

Mr. Gold:
You know. Magic!

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Why?

Mr. Gold:
Not telling.

David Nolan:
If the curse is broken, why didn't we go back?

Regina Mills:
Because there's nothing to go back to. That land is gone.

[Mary Margaret has fended off a soul-sucking wraith as it attacked Regina]

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Did I...

Regina Mills:
...kill it? No, it's regenerating. It'll be back. It doesn't stop until it devours its prey - me.

Emma Swan:
So, how do we kill it?

Regina Mills:
There's no way. Can't kill something that's already dead.

Emma Swan:
Then we have a problem.

David Nolan:
No, we don't. Regina does.

Regina Mills:
What?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
David?

Emma Swan:
You want to let her die?

David Nolan:
Why not? Then it goes away. Then we're safe.

Regina Mills:
That's quite the example you're setting for your daughter there.

David Nolan:
No. You don't get to judge us!

David Nolan:
[walking into the room with Mary Margaret, both carrying brooms] Torches, for when it comes back. I know it's old-fashioned, but so am I.

Regina Mills:
[to David] You think you're some heroic prince? Please. You're nothing but the son of a shepherd. I should've killed you when I could. And now... now I can!

Belle:
[amused] You, uh... you still have it. My chipped cup.

Mr. Gold:

Mr. Gold:
Well, I expected this was just a matter of time. Had hoped you were dead, but hey - disappointment's just part of life, I'm sure we can agree on that.

Cora:

Hook:
Oh... Are you gonna kill me now? Go ahead. Try.

Cora:
So brave. No, I'm not going to kill you. I have something far more satisfying in mind. I'm going to leave you here, with your thirst for revenge unquenched, while I complete our journey without you.

Hook:
[smiles sheepishly] There's no need to be rash. We can... discuss this.

[Regina has warned Mr. Gold that Cora is on her way to Storybrooke]

Regina Mills:
And I don't think I need to remind you how most unpleasant that would be for both of us.

Maybe. But there's a big difference this time. This time, you have someone you care about. This time, you have a weakness.

[Gold has suggested they send Henry back into the Netherworld]

David Nolan:

[David has decided to visit the fiery room himself]

Emma Swan:
This... Netherworld, how bad is it? What's it like?

It's like you're, um... lost, drifting in the dark, no one to talk to, nothing to do, except think of all the people that you love and how you'll never see them again.

Henry was lost in that dark, too, because of me.

Henry Mills:
Sure, but... in the book, it says that you could see the future. Why can't you just look and see what's gonna happen?

Mr. Gold:
Well, that ability is... complicated. I didn't always have it. And then, when I did... well... it's maybe not the gift one would expect. Seeing the inevitable... can be a terrible price.

Henry Mills:
But you wouldn't have to worry about stuff. You'd just know.

Mr. Gold:
But that's the great trap. The future... is like a puzzle, with missing pieces - difficult to read, and never, never what you think.

[in the Enchanted Forest, Rumplestiltskin aka the Dark One is trying to take over the seer's ability]

Rumplestiltskin:
[as the Dark One] I can't... see... anything. It's too much. It's nothing but a jumble.

Seer:
The future is a puzzle, with many pieces to be sorted. In time you will learn to separate what can be from what will be.

Neal Cassady:
[to Emma] You know, there's not a ton about my father that I remember that doesn't suck. But he used to tell me that there are no coincidences. Everything that happens, happens by design, and there's nothing we can do about it; forces greater than us conspire to make it happen. Fate, destiny, whatever you wanna called it, the point is... maybe we met for a reason. Maybe something good came from us being together.

Henry Mills:
So... you're my dad.

Neal Cassady:
Yeah.

Henry Mills:
I'm Henry.

Neal Cassady:
It's nice to meet you, Henry.

David Nolan:
So, Rumplestiltskin is Henry's grandfather?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Apparently.

David Nolan:
But *I'm* his grandfather.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
You can have more than one.

David Nolan:
So, his... step-grandmother is Regina, the Evil Queen?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Actually, his step-great-grandmother. And she's also his adoptive mother.

David Nolan:
[sighs] It's a good thing we don't have Thanksgiving in our land, 'cause that dinner would suck.

Emma Swan:
Well, who doesn't love a surprise?

Emma Swan:
Doesn't matter now. I'm over it. And you.

Neal Cassady:
Why do you wear the, uh... key chain I got you?

[Emma stops short to think this over, then pulls the chain off and hands it back to Neal]

Emma Swan:
To remind myself never to trust someone again.

Henry Mills:
You know, I forgave her. Emma. For giving me up. She thought it was the best for me then; that's why she did it. I'm sure your son'll forgive you, too.

Mr. Gold:
Alas, the circumstances surrounding our separation weren't quite so noble.

Henry Mills:
But... you're here now. And you want him back, right?

Mr. Gold:
More than anything.

Henry Mills:
Then that's all that matters.

Rumplestiltskin:
I left the front to be with you. You and... Baelfire.

Milah:
You left because you were afraid! You became what everyone thought you were, a coward, just like your father!

Rumplestiltskin:

[as the Dark One] Then I'll just have to kill him.

Lily Page:
Seriously? We're gonna let them get away with this?

Maleficent:
We can be happy in the future or we can be angry about the past.

Lily Page:
Let's do both. Look, all these years since I've figured out what happened, I've been trying to figure out how two humans could get me away from a freakin' dragon... and now I get it, you're a pushover... What did they do? Rub your belly? Give you a dragon treat?

Isaac Heller:
It's a shame. I mean... Writing a happy ending for the Evil Queen. Well, you... you've always been a favourite of mine. Very clear goals plus totally damaged personality, with a self-destructive streak? A recipe for compelling... And of all the characters I've written for, you really do get screwed over the most.

Evil Queen:
I'm well aware.

Neal Cassidy:
So I take it you've a plan, or the whole sacrifice your life thing was just you being dramatic?

David Nolan:
There is no hope.

Captain Hook:
If there's one thing I've gleamed from you hero types it's that there's always hope.

Rumplestiltskin:
You're my happy ending. This is. Because it's my redemption. I can be strong son. If you have faith in me.

Belle:
You've always felt more comfortable behind a mask.

Rumplestiltskin:
You were the only one who could ever see past it. Past the mask of the monster.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Maybe it's a tiny colander.

Regina Mills:
Yes, because pre-teen Baelfire probably made lots of pasta.

Captain Hook:
[Talking about the dreamshade poison] You don't look so hot, mate.

David Nolan:
That's because it's a hundred degrees in this damn jungle. And I'm plenty hot.

Emma Swan:
I'm not sad. I'm pissed. Yes, Neal just died, but I lost him years ago. All that time thinking that he didn't love me, only to find out that he did, and it was too late. I can't even tell him how angry that makes me, or how much it hurt when he left, or how terrified I was when he came back. I knew the moment I saw him, I never stopped loving him.

Hook:
Miss Swan. I knew you wouldn't let me rot in that cage. I've been in my fair share of brigs, but none as barbaric as that. They force-fed me something called "bologna."

Emma Swan:
Let me ask you something.

Henry Mills:
Sure.

Emma Swan:
Do you believe in magic?

Henry Mills:
Of course. And the Tooth Fairy. And Santa Claus, and the Easter Bunny. It gets me a present, I believe.

Emma Swan:
We've only been together eight months. I've had leftovers in my fridge for longer than that.

Killian Jones:
You're telling me that in this other reality, I'm an expert with such a weapon?

Emma Swan:
You're a regular Jack Sparrow.

Killian Jones:
Is that good?

Emma Swan:
Here. Let me show you how to use it. [She gets behind him and takes his arms in hers]

Killian Jones:
Oh. [Chuckles. Emma guides his arm as he unsheathes his sword and sways the blade in various fighting positions]

Emma Swan:
They say that once you become an expert, your subconscious takes over and does the work for you. Back in my world, that's what we call "muscle memory."

Killian Jones:
[He puts the blade back into his sheath] Tell me more about this reality you want to return to. Us, for example. I sense that we, uh, we may be close?

Emma Swan:
[Smiles] Very.

Killian Jones:
[Sheepishly] Really? Well, I'm starting to get jealous of the other me.

Emma Swan:
[laughs] Let's see what food Henry's discovered. I'm starving. [They begin to head into town, but are cut short when Lily appears. Emma and Killian all draw their swords]

Lily Page:
There they are. [Queen Snow White and Charming follow suit, along with some more Black Knights] As I told you, my Queen. The one-handed pirate was helping them, and the boy was with them as well.

Grumpy:
[Draws his sword] Tell us where the child is hiding!

Emma Swan:
Hey! Back off, dwarf! [Angry, she pushes him to the ground] Or I'm gonna change your name to Stumpy!

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
I know you. You're... Emma, the mad hag who was locked in the tower. I almost didn't recognize you out of your chains.

Emma Swan:
You're the one that's hard to recognize, both of you. This isn't who you are.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Tell me. Who are we?

Emma Swan:
You're my parents. I'm the product of your true love. [Talking about Snow and David] You taught me how to be a hero, you taught me how to believe in hope, and I do. And now, I need you to believe in it too.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
[Her eyes widen, then looks at Emma as if in realization] You're right. Emma. Hope is a very powerful thing. [Her warm, almost maternal smile drops and returns to a sadistic grin] Which is why I'm going to have to snuff it out of you and that awful son of yours. [to her soldiers] Kill them.

David Nolan:
Wait. [He spots Henry entering and points him out to the Queen] There he is.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
My, my. I am going to enjoy watching him die in front of his mother.

Killian Jones:
[Whispers] Save Henry.

Emma Swan:
Killian, you can't beat them.

Killian Jones:
If I can help return things to how they were meant to be, then what happens to me here won't matter now, will it? Now go. Save your boy. [Realising Killian is right, Emma rushes to protect Henry while a battle ensues between the Black Guard and Hook. Hook kicks over some heavy bags of flour, knocking out Lily and her fellow soldiers. Killian's attention turns to Charming]

David Nolan:
Is she worth your life, pirate?

Killian Jones:
I'm willing to find out. [the two men begin to duel. At first, Charming has the upper hand and nearly corners Killian, but Hook presses just hard enough to send Charming's sword flying out of his hand and pushes Charming to the ground. He chuckles slightly] What do you know? I'm a natural. [the Queen steps forward. Hook raises his sword] Hey! What about you, Your Majesty? Shall I make it quick while - [He is cut short as Charming gets back up, takes his sword, and stabs through Hook's back]

Emma Swan:
NO!

David Nolan:
I never did like pirates. [Whispers to Hook, Emma attempts to step forward, but Henry stops her]

Henry Mills:
Mom. [Henry tries to drag his mother away, but she is frozen as she watches on in horror as Charming plunges his sword in further, killing Hook. Emma is devastated] Mom! We have to get out of here! Mom! [Snow White launches a fireball at them. They run]

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Believing in even the possibility of a happy ending is a very powerful thing.

Emma Swan:
Okay, kid, how about an address?

Henry Mills:
44 I'm-not-telling-you Street.

Henry Mills:
I want you to come home with me.

Emma Swan:
Okay, kid. I'm calling the cops.

Henry Mills:
Then I'll tell them you kidnapped me.

Emma Swan:
And they'll believe you because I'm your birthmother.

Henry Mills:
Yep.

Prince Charming:
You never have to worry. I will always find you.

Snow White:
Do you promise?

Prince Charming:
[cut to the wedding] I do.

Doc:
It's the queen. Run!

Snow White:
[grabs Prince Charming's sword] She's not a queen anymore. She's nothing more than an evil witch.

Evil Queen:
I've come to give you a gift.

Snow White:
We want nothing from you.

Evil Queen:
But you shall have it. My gift to you... is this happy... happy day. For tomorrow, my real work begins. You've made your vows, now I make mine. Soon, everything you love, everything all of you love, will be taken from you, forever. And out of your suffering will rise my victory. I shall destroy your happiness, if it is the last thing I do!

Ryan:
[on a blind date] You, Emma, are, by far, the sexiest, friendless orphan that I have ever met.

Emma Swan:
[laughs] Okay! Your turn. No, wait, let me guess. Um, you are handsome, charming...

Ryan:
Go on.

Emma Swan:
The kind of guy who, and now stop me if I get this wrong, embezzled from your employer, got arrested, and skipped town before they were able to throw your ass in jail.

Ryan:
[nervous chuckle] What?

Emma Swan:
And the worst part of all this is your wife. Your wife loves you so much that she bailed you out. And how do you repay that loyalty? You're on a date.

Ryan:
Who are you?

Emma Swan:
The chick who put up the rest of the money.

Ryan:
You're a bail bondsman.

Emma Swan:
[stressing the gender neutrality] Bail bondsperson.

Henry Mills:
Are you Emma Swan?

Emma Swan:
Yeah. Who are you?

Henry Mills:
My name's Henry. I'm your son.

Emma Swan:
What's that?

Henry Mills:
I'm not sure you're ready.

Emma Swan:
Ready for some fairy tales?

Henry Mills:
They're not fairy tales. They're true. Every story in this book actually happened.

Emma Swan:
Just because you believe something doesn't make it true.

Henry Mills:
That's exactly what makes it true. You should know more than anyone.

Emma Swan:
Why is that?

Henry Mills:
Because you're in this book.

Emma Swan:
Oh kid, you got problems.

Henry Mills:
Yep. And you're gonna fix 'em.

Henry Mills:
[regarding his book of fairy tales] You're in this book.

Emma Swan:
Oh, kid, you've got problems.

Henry Mills:
Yup, and you're gonna fix 'em.

Rumplestiltskin:
The Queen has created a powerful curse... and it's coming. Soon you'll all be in a prison, just like me, only worse. Your prison, all of our prisons, will be time. The time will stop and we will be trapped. Someplace horrible, where everything we hold dear, everything we love, will be ripped from us while we suffer for all eternity, while the Queen celebrates, victorious at last! No more happy endings.

Snow White:
What can we do?

Rumplestiltskin:
We can't do anything!

Snow White:
Who can?

Rumplestiltskin:
That little thing growing inside your belly.

Rumplestiltskin:
The infant is our only hope. Get the child to safety. Get the child to safety and on its... 28th birthday, the child will return, the child will find you, and the final battle will begin!

Emma Swan:
An evil queen sent a bunch of fairy tale characters here?

Henry Mills:
Yeah, and now they're trapped.

Emma Swan:
Frozen in time? Stuck in Storybrooke, Maine? That's what you're going with?

Henry Mills:
It's true.

Emma Swan:
Then why doesn't everybody just leave?

Henry Mills:
They can't. If they try, bad things happen.

Emma Swan:
[referring to Archie Hopper] So, that's your shrink.

Henry Mills:
I'm not crazy.

Emma Swan:
Didn't say that. He just... he doesn't seem cursed to me. Maybe he's just trying to help you.

Henry Mills:
He's the one who needs help. Because he doesn't know.

Emma Swan:
That he's a fairy tale character.

Henry Mills:
None of them do. They don't remember who they are.

Emma Swan:
Convenient! All right, I'll play. Who's he supposed to be?

Henry Mills:
Jiminy Cricket.

Emma Swan:
Right, the lying thing. I thought your nose grew a little bit.

Henry Mills:
I'm not Pinocchio!

Emma Swan:
Of course you're not, because that would be ridiculous.

Regina Mills:
How would you like a glass of the best apple cider you ever tasted?

Emma Swan:
Got anything stronger?

Regina Mills:
You have a job, I assume?

Emma Swan:
Erm... I keep busy, yeah.

Regina Mills:
Imagine having another one on top of it. That's being a single mom. So I push for order. Am I strict? I suppose. But I do it for his own good. I want Henry to excel in life. I don't think that makes me evil, do you?

Evil Queen:
[seeing Snow White holding her fallen Prince Charming] Oh, don't worry, dear. In a few moments, you won't remember you knew him, let alone loved him.

Snow White:
Why did you do this?

Evil Queen:
Because this is my happy ending. [two guards approach] The child?

The Black Knight:
Gone. It was in the wardrobe and then it was gone. It's nowhere to be found.

Evil Queen:
Where is she?

Snow White:
[smiling] She got away. You're going to lose. I know that now. Good will always win.

Regina Mills:
Do you know what a closed adoption is? It's what you asked for. You have no legal right to Henry, and you're gonna be held to that. So I suggest you get in your car, and you leave this town. Because if you don't, I will destroy you, if it is the last thing I do! Goodbye, Ms. Swan.

[repeated line]

Emma Swan:
Seriously?

[first lines]

Doc:
You're too late.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
[about birds] They're loyal creatures. If you love them and they love you, they will always find you.

Snow White:
You found me.

Prince Charming:
Did you ever doubt I would?

Prince Charming:
I say we fight!

Jiminy Cricket:
Fighting is a bad idea. Giving in to one's dark side never accomplishes anything.

Prince Charming:
And how many wars has a clear conscience won?

Emma Swan:
How's a book supposed to help?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
What do you think stories are for? These stories, the classics... there's a reason we all know them. They're a way for us to deal with our world - a world that doesn't always make sense.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
I gave the book to him because I wanted Henry to have the most important thing anyone can have. Hope. Believing in even the possibility of a happy ending is a very powerful thing.

Henry Mills:
I was hoping that when I brought you back, things would change here. That the final battle would begin.

Emma Swan:
I'm not fighting any battles, kid.

Henry Mills:
Yes, you are. You're here because it's your destiny. You're gonna bring back the happy endings.

Emma Swan:
Can you cut it with the book crap?

Henry Mills:
You don't have to be hostile. I know you like me, I can tell. You're just... pushing me away because I make you feel guilty. It's OK. I know why you gave me away. You wanted to give me my best chance.

Emma Swan:
[after a pause] How do you know that?

Henry Mills:
It's the same reason Snow White gave you away.

Emma Swan:
Listen to me, kid: I am not in any book. I'm a real person. And I'm no savior. You were right about one thing, though. I wanted you to have your best chance. But it's not with me.

Snow White:
The future is written.

Prince Charming:
No. I refuse to believe that. Good can't just lose.

Snow White:
Maybe it can.

Prince Charming:
No. No, not as long as we have each other. If you believe him about the curse, then you must believe him about our child. She *will* be the savior.

Rumplestiltskin:
[referring to Snow's unborn child] Tell me - what's her name?

Snow White:
Emma. Her name is Emma.

Prince Charming:
[to baby Emma, before putting her in the wardrobe] Find us.

[Emma is checking in at Granny's Bed & Breakfast]

Granny:
Would you like a forest view or a square view? Normally, there's an upgrade fee for the square, but as rent is due, I'll waive it.

Emma Swan:
Square is fine.

Granny:
Now, what's the name?

Emma Swan:
Swan. Emma Swan.

Mr. Gold:
[suddenly behind her] Emma! What a lovely name.

Emma Swan:
Thanks.

Granny:
[handing him the rent money] It's all here.

Mr. Gold:
Yes, yes, of course it is, dear, thank you. You enjoy your stay... Emma. [leaves]

Emma Swan:
Who's that?

Ruby:
Mr. Gold. He owns this place.

Emma Swan:
The inn?

Granny:
No. The town.

[the curse is upon the Enchanted Forest]

Snow White:
Where are we going?

Evil Queen:
Somewhere horrible. Absolutely horrible. A place where the only happy ending will be mine.

[last lines]

Granny:
Welcome to Storybrooke.

Woman on Bus:
That a good book?

Henry Mills:
This? It's more than just a book.

Evil Queen:
I shall destroy your happiness, if it is the last thing I do.

Title Card:
There was an enchanted forest filled with all the classic characters we know. Or think we know. One day they found themselves in a place where all their happy endings were stolen. Our World. This is how it happened.

Prince Charming:
I will not let you ruin this wedding.

Evil Queen:
Oh, I haven't come here to ruin anything. On the contrary, dear, I've come to give you a gift.

Snow White:

Evil Queen:

Emma Swan:
Yeah. Isn't that what a spell book is, a book that has spells in it?

[first lines]

Black Knight:

Hooded Man:
[carrying a bucket] Food for the prisoner.

Black Knight:
It's not mealtime. Who are you? Identify yourself, slave!

[he tries to uncover the man, and a short battle ensues, which the man wins]

Captain Hook:
[removing his hood] "Slave"! I prefer "Captain".

Evil Queen:
You remember Claude?

Captain Hook:
Can't say that I do.

Evil Queen:
You killed him in the cell block.

Captain Hook:
Ah, yes. I didn't recognize him without my hook in his neck.

[the Queen of Hearts is whispering something to her knave]

Knave of Hearts:
The Queen wants to know why you've come to Wonderland.

Captain Hook:
I'm in search of someone. In her native land, she goes by Cora.

Cora/Queen of Hearts:
[removes her mask] In this land, she goes by "Your Majesty"!

[Hook has tried to rip out Cora's heart, but to no avail]

Cora/Queen of Hearts:
I'm the Queen of Hearts. Do you really think I'd be so careless as to keep my heart where everyone else does? *This*...

[her turn to grab Hook's heart]

Cora/Queen of Hearts:
...is how it's done.

Cora/Queen of Hearts:
You're now going to tell me everything and do exactly what I want. Because when you hold a heart, you control it. You have the power.

Captain Hook:
Well, what shall you have me do?

Cora/Queen of Hearts:

Captain Hook:
Do you know what this is, Emma?

Emma Swan:
The bean that the giant kept. [she tries to grab it]

Captain Hook:
[keeps it away from her] Uh-uh-uh. Yes, indeed. A pirate always keeps a souvenir of his conquest, but this... well, this is much more than a mere trinket. This is a symbol. Something that was once magical, full of hope, possibility. Now look at it. Dried up, dead, useless. Much like you.

Captain Hook:
[of Belle] So pretty. Yet so useless.

[Hook has saved Aurora's heart from falling through the portal]

Captain Hook:
I may be a pirate, but I bristle at the thought of a woman losing her heart. Unless it's over me.

[during a swordfight with Hook, Emma has fallen to the ground]

Captain Hook:
Normally, I prefer to do other more enjoyable activities with a woman on her back. With my life on the line, you've left me no choice. A bit of advice? When I jab you with my sword, you'll feel it.

Cora:
Forgive us. We'd love to stay, but Storybrooke awaits.

[as Emma saves Mary Margaret from Cora, her own heart becomes the target of Cora's deadly grip]

Cora:
Oh, you foolish girl! Don't you know? Love is weakness.

[she tries to rip Emma's heart out, but for some reason can't make it happen]

Emma Swan:
No. It's strength!

[Cora is blasted away by some magical force]

Henry Mills:
[to Regina] Emma and Mary Margaret are going to come through. I know it. You said you wanted to change. To be better. This is how. You want me to have faith in you? Have faith in *me*.

[Mary Margaret has roused her husband from his sleep]

David Nolan:
You... You did it.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Did you ever doubt I would?

David Nolan:
No.

[they kiss]

David Nolan:
Though the burning red room did give me pause.

Emma Swan:
Um... your mom, she's, uh... she's... a piece of work, you know?

Regina Mills:
Indeed I do.

Mr. Gold:
Just remind me never to bet against you in the future, Ms. Swan.

Emma Swan:
Your scroll. I saw it in your cell. You wrote my name again, and again, and again.

Mr. Gold:
Just wanted to make sure it would stick.

Emma Swan:
You created the curse, Gold. You made me the savior. So everything I've ever done... it's exactly what you wanted me to do.

Mr. Gold:
I created the curse, dearie, but I didn't make you. I merely took advantage of what you are - the product of true love. That's why you're powerful. And everything you've done... you've done yourself.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Told ya. Good always wins.

Regina Mills:
I didn't catch your name.

Robin Hood:

Regina Mills:

Well, as were tossing labels around, aren't you technically known as "The Evil Queen?"

Regina Mills:

Hook:

Belle:

Emma Swan:

Not exactly. But it is a liquid that can conjure courage, give strength, or even act as a love potion of sorts. It's called whiskey, and no, it's not magical... especially the next day.

Regina Mills:
A good witch covers her tracks, but a better one can uncover them.

Emma Swan:
I almost married a monster from Oz. It's hilarious.

Neal Cassidy:
I almost married a minion of my evil grandfather, Peter Pan so I know what you're saying.

Robin Hood:

Regina Mills:

Tinker Bell:

I felt its breath on my face. And it clamped its hot jaw on my arm. And I moved away. Then it looked at me with eyes so black they weren't even there. And it walked away. You ever see a wild animal just turn its back and walk away like you don't matter? If this wolf is like that one, there is no defeating it. It's already won, just by existing in our world. You don't kill it. You just hide.

Granny:

Ruby:
[showing Emma the box she found buried by the toll bridge] Is... Is that what I think it is?

Emma Swan:
Yeah.

Ruby:
[turning away] I can't look.

Emma Swan:
Are you okay?

Ruby:
I don't know what I am.

Emma Swan:
It's gonna be all right. We can figure out what happened now. Ruby, you did good.

Ruby:
This is doing good?

Emma Swan:
Yeah. It's amazing. First you found David, and now this? I know you say you don't know what you are, but whatever it is, I gotta say I'm impressed.

Ruby:
[wry laugh] Don't be. I was scared out of my mind.

Emma Swan:
But you did it anyway.

David Nolan:
What is it? Did you find her?

Emma Swan:
We found a box.

David Nolan:
What... what does that mean?

Emma Swan:
We think it... we think that she...

David Nolan:

Emma Swan:
There was a human heart inside it.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Oh, my god.

We're gonna send it out for some tests, but there aren't any other missing people.

Emma Swan:
There were fingerprints inside the lid of the box. I ran them through the records of everyone in town, and there was a match.

David Nolan:
Arrest me.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:

David Nolan:

Emma Swan:
David, the fingerprints weren't yours.

David Nolan:
[quietly] What?

Emma Swan:
They were Mary Margaret's.

Regina Mills:
[Sees painting put up by Mary Margaret] Who's idea was that?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Oh, I thought I'd put my own personal touch on the office.

Regina Mills:
Well... you've succeeded... hideously.

Captain Hook:
Swan - don't make a man drink alone!

Emma Swan:
I'm not in the mood for a drink. Or... a man.

Captain Hook:
I'm sorry I didn't listen to you today. I know you feel like you've got the weight of the world on your shoulders, but at some point, even though we're quite different, you've got to trust me.

Emma Swan:
That's what you think this is about? That I don't trust you?

Emma Swan:

That's right, I did it. And I wanted you to know it before you, like all the pathetic denizens of this wretched land, forgets everything.

Rumplestiltskin:
How did it feel?

The Evil Queen:
Watching the curse cloud form? Felt like victory.

Rumplestiltskin:
[laughing] How did it feel to kill the thing you love most? Ripping the heart out of your father how did that feel?

The Evil Queen:
It was the price of the curse, how it felt doesn't matter. He would've understood. I took my life back. I had to. I won.

Rumplestiltskin:
And yet, here you are, feeling the need to gloat. Something's missing isn't it, dearie?

The Evil Queen:
Not at all, I have everything I want. Nothing can stop me now.

Rumplestiltskin:
[laughing] Not quite.

You over estimate your powers of foresight.

Rumplestiltskin:

Oh, it's a... hidden gem. Peaceful, perfect for children. It's like a fairy tale.

Regina Mills:
Once upon a time there was a queen. And she cast a glorious curse that gave her everything she wanted... or so she thought. She despaired when she learned that revenge was not enough. She was lonely. And so she searched the land for a little boy to be her prince. And then... she found him. And though they lived happily, it was not ever after. There was still an evil out there lurking. The Dragon:

[pulls up his right pant leg] You see that?

[August chuckles and pulls up his left pant leg]

Maybe that's what I'm trying to do. I've lived a life of selfishness, cowardice and dishonesty. And only I can cure that. Not magic, not science, just me.

Mother Superior:
[after turning August into Pinocchio again] Do better this time, Pinocchio.

[Mary Margaret tells David about her fateful encounter with Regina]

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Because telling you makes things real, and I needed to believe it wasn't; that I could find a way to stop it, that redemption was possible.

Princess Aurora:

Mary Margaret Blanchard:

Emma:
[sweet apologetic smile] Hi.

Neal Cassady:
Terribly sorry, officer, but th-this is actually my car. I'm-I'm trying to, uh... teach my girlfriend how to drive stick.

Portland Cop:
She's got a lot to learn.

Neal Cassady:

Neal Cassady:

Emma:

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
When's the last time you slept?

Princess Aurora:
I don't really sleep now. Not after what I've been through.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
[understanding] Sleeping curse.

Princess Aurora:
The one time I did sleep, I had horrible nightmares.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
It's a side effect. Same thing happened to me.

Princess Aurora:
It did?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
Mm, I had them for months. Charming - my husband... He used to wake me. When I cried out, he'd light a candle. He said it would capture the nightmares. He'd watch over me as I fell back to sleep.

Princess Aurora:
Sounds like he lives up to his name.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
[heartily] Yeah.

Princess Aurora:
[about her nightmare] I was in this room, this, this red room. It was... bright - blood-red curtains. There was no windows and no doors, so it didn't make sense, and I couldn't get in or out. I was trapped. The curtains, they were on fire. It was horrible!

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
It's OK.

Princess Aurora:
I was hunched in a corner, and... I looked over into the other corner. And in the shadows, there was someone else there. I could just see his eyes. He was looking right at me.

Emma Swan:
Oh, damnit.

[when seeing the giant]

Emma Swan:
You have a compass. I need it.

The Giant:
You're gonna kill me either way. Go ahead. Kill me.

Emma Swan:
You don't know me.

The Giant:
I know your kind. They massacred us and destroyed our beans.

Emma Swan:
I heard it the other way.

The Giant:
It's because the victors get to tell the story.

Emma Swan:
What's this? Is this a bean? Can this make a portal?

The Giant:

[Emma threatens the giant once more with the deadly sword]

Hook:

[she opens the envelope and withdraws a key on a chain from it]

[she is about to leave, but turns around once more]

Corrections Agent:
And a baby. Congratulations.

[about his nightmare] I wa- I was in this room. And... and it was red. And there was no doors, no windows. And these curtains... And they were on fire. And... I was in this corner. And... and, and, and I was looking up. And there was someone else there. She was staring at me through the flames. Th-then I woke up, and...

David Nolan:
Hey. Don't worry, all right? It was just a bad dream.

Henry Mills:
This requires all of Operation Cobra - both of you.

Archie Hopper:
I didn't realize I was in Operation Cobra.

Mary Margaret Blanchard:
If Kathryn was horrible, it'd be easier, but... she's so... nice.

And what exactly would be easier?

Mary Margaret Blanchard:

[flustered] Yeah, well, we weren't. So maybe next time you could put a tie on the door, or send a text, or... You know what? I, I'm... gonna go make some tacos.

[walks off]

David Nolan:
It's impressive that we can still provide her with a few traumatic childhood memories at this stage of the game.

Emma Swan:
Tacos? I cannot tell you the relief of cooking something that I didn't have to kill first.

[giggles]

Belle:

[Gold has just saved Belle from being sent across the town line]

Killian Jones:
You may be more powerful now, demon, but you're no less a coward!

Rumplestiltskin:

Killian Jones:
You'll have to kill me first!

Rumplestiltskin:
Ah-ah! I'm afraid that's not in the cards for you, sonny boy.

[he cuts off Jones's left hand with his sword]

I want you alive, because I want you to suffer, like I did.

[Jones grabs a metal hook and plunges it into Rumplestiltskin's chest]

Rumplestiltskin:
[giggles] Killing me is gonna take a lot more than that, dearie.

Killian Jones:
Even demons can be killed. I will find a way!

Rumplestiltskin:
Well, good luck living long enough.

William Smee:
What's the name of the place we're headed, Cap'n?

[Jones is fitting the metal hook onto his stump]
