Famous Laertius Diogenes Quotations

Diogenes Laƫrtius (fl. c. 3rd century), was a biographer of the Greek philosophers. Nothing is known about his life, but his surviving Lives and Opinions of Eminent Philosophers is one of the principal surviving sources for the history of Greek philosophy

"Solon used to say that speech was the image of actions... that laws were like cobwebs, --for that if any trifling or powerless thing fell into them, they held it fast while if it were something weightier, it broke through them and was off."
