Author and photographer, was born in 1960 in Orlando East, the same year Mangaliso Sobukwe led the anti-pass march, joined by about 200 other people, marched to Orlando East police station where they handed themselves to the police, which eventually led to the Sharpville massacre, that left 69 dead, a sad story of history, his mother kept as her secret, until one day on 16thJune 1976, history repeated itself, that his mother broke her silence. The so-called Pass Law was the law that required South Africa’s black population to carry around at all times an identity book which contained pertinent information about themselves, such as name, address, employer details and even their tax code. Those caught without the books were liable to immediate arrest"
