Four Lessons on Life 1. Never take down a fence until you know why it was put up. 2. If you get too far ahead of the army, your soldiers may mistake you for the enemy. 3. Don't complain about the bottom rungs of the ladder they helped to get you higher. 4. If you want to enjoy the rainbow, be prepared to endure the storm.
Freedom enables us to accept ourselves and become who we are in reality. Many a times, people trade in their reality for a role that they aren't meant to be. They willingly trade in their originality and freedom, and put on a mask to act, to please others. Such artificial , hollow and superficial life, doesn't matter how attractive it may seem, can become a chain and burdain. Be free. Be original. And you will be happy. The revilution for freedom always begins internally, on personal level first. Never trade in your freedom.
From a psychological point of view, when people go under pressure in life, be it economically or otherwise, they seek support from the people closest to them, usually religious or ethnic groups. They also start blaming other groups who have more control over the national resources. If the gap of power is wide, this will eventually create deep divisions in the nation. The divisions can take on new forms of conflict such as class warfare, ethnic, religious, political unrest and sometime civil war. The only effective protection against national divisions is an open socioeconomic system with a large and growing middle class
God doesn't only see where you are presently. Moreover, he sees where you can be in the future. Yes! God sees beyond your sight or naked eyes. So, if he wants you to bend anytime or anywhere obediently bend for him. Besides, if you propose anything and he disposes it. Never try to figure it out. For, there is always a reasonable reason behind everything that he does. I mean, he (God) do have ulterior motives for all humans and matters of life including your own current condition, challenges, adversities and what have you?
God, I dont have great faith, but I can be faithful. My belief in you may be seasonal, but my faithfulness will not. I will follow in the way of Christ. I will act as though my life and the lives of others matter. I will love. I have no greater gift to offer than my life. Take it.
God, I offer myself to Thee, to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy power, Thy love and Thy way of life. May I do Thy will always. Amen.
Grant, Lord, that we might overcome our enemies by transforming them into friends. Make them and make us conscious of those deep inward reaches whereby every heart is rooted in our world's deep common life.
Grow old along with me The best is yet to be, The last of life, for which the first was made Our times are in his hand who saith, A whole I planned, Youth shows but half trust God See all, nor be afraid
Have you even been in love Horrible, isn't it It makes you so vulnrable. It opens your chest and it opens your heart and it means someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses. You build up this whole armor, for years, so nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They don't ask for it. They do something dumb one day like kiss you, or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so a simple phrase like 'maybe we should just be friends' or 'how very perceptive' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a body-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.
He that embarks on the voyage of life will always wish to advance rather by the impulse of the wind than the strokes of the oar; and many foulder in their passage; while they lie waiting for the gale.
Heroes of 21st Century, in my honest view, are those who will fight injustice, poverty and racism, improve the quality of life for humans and animals alike, and most importantly, incorporate more sustainability in our daily lives everyday.
How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these.
I am convinced that attitude is the key to success or failure in almost any of life's endeavors. Your attitude--your perspective, your outlook, how you feel about yourself, how you feel about other people--determines your priorities, your actions, your values. Your attitude determines how you interact with other people and how you interact with yourself.
