Cometan (born July 1, 1998; also spelt as Kometan) is a British astronomer, author, religious founder and revivalist, autodidactic philosopher, and the founder of the Astronic philosophical tradition. Beyond this, Cometan is most famous for founding the Astronist religion and for developing the fundamental elements of its philosophy in addition to establishing various disciplines of study, countless terminologies, religious institutions and organisations, and for disseminating his faith worldwide via the Astronist Institution. Cometan's philosophership was established following a series of revelations, ideations and religious ecstasies that began during his adolescent years which uniquely incorporated the astronomical world, most famous of these are the Ecstasy of the Stars, the Subsumption of Cometan, and the Dedication of Cometan. He is also a prolific writer, having cemented his prowess as an author at a young age after solely composing the 2 million word founding text of Astronism called the Omnidoxy which became the foundation for the Astronist literary tradition.
