"... And when experience is not retained, as among [Americans' pursuit of money & political power], infancy is perpetual." Isn't amazing what learning because you needed it could engender, vs. attending Yale because mommy & daddy could afford to send me to Yale, his Alma Mater? "Strategery"? 110 years passed since Santayana's musings, and yet as a country we continue to regress. So, do we just kick our feet up and do nothing, or rather just go to bed and forget about the world's, (i.e. America's) troubles, since we all know they'll be there tomorrow anyway, right? Why do we continue to create obstacles to our own learning and advancement; is it because we're tired? The LORD put this fire in my belly! Who's going to put one in yours? I have many, many really intelligent friends (even some family too), some whom thrive on continual learning. Let's set a ball in motion for the rest of the world to follow! I'm getting pissed, about now!
