I would like to mention that a couple days ago Senator Obama was out in Ohio and he had an encounter with a guy who's a plumber, his name is Joe Wurzelbacher.
Joe wants to buy the business that he has been in for all of these years, worked 10, 12 hours a day. And he wanted to buy the business, but he looked at your tax plan and he saw that he was going to pay much higher taxes
Quotes from the news wire:
There's one man who has made pain in my life a living hell and another man who has literally shepherded me through the grief process.

My friends, when I was growing up, my father was often at sea, and the job of raising my brother, sister and me would fall to my mother alone, john McCain 106-year-old mother gave us her love of life, her deep interest in the world, her strength, and her belief that we're all meant to use our opportunities to make ourselves useful to our country.
Today’s indictment is a result of the hard work of America’s law enforcement and intelligence officials who dedicate their lives to bringing to justice those who wish to do us harm. These revelations add to a body of evidence confirming an extensive plot by Vladimir Putin’s government to attack the 2016 election, sow chaos and dissention among the American electorate, and undermine faith in our democracy.
Human rights progress in Vietnam should also be better served by restoring relations with that country, the Vietnamese have already developed complex relations with the rest of the free world. Instead of vainly trying to isolate Vietnam, the United States should test the proposition that greater exposure to Americans will render Vietnam more susceptible to the influence of our values.
I don’t begin this mission with any sense of entitlement. America doesn’t owe me anything, i am the son and grandson of Navy admirals, and I was born into America’s service. It wasn’t until I was deprived of her company that I fell in love with America, and it has been my honor to serve her and her great cause of freedom.
You’re wrong Harry, I am sorry, but you are dead wrong. Russia is a threat because it is declining, because Putin’s economy is a train wreck, when the bear feels wounded, she is dangerous. And if we don’t stand tall against Russia now, they will keep pushing, and this will only get worse. We aren’t learning from history, and I fear where this ends up. Putin’s not done.
President Trump proved not only unable, but unwilling to stand up to Putin. He and Putin seemed to be speaking from the same script as the president made a conscious choice to defend a tyrant against the fair questions of a free press, and to grant Putin an uncontested platform to spew propaganda and lies to the world.

The President task is to reverse The President disturbing tendency to show America's adversaries the deference and esteem that should be reserved for our closest allies. The President must show that The President can be strong and tough with Vladimir Putin -- not for The President task own sake, but to demonstrate The President willingness to defend America, its allies, our shared interests, and our common values against those who threaten them, putin is not America's friend, nor merely a competitor. Putin is America's enemy -- not because we wish it so, but because he has chosen to be.
As we face the most complex and dangerous security environment since the end of the Cold War, we must not forget that America is safer and more secure because we work with and through our allies. Throughout the past seven decades, the United States and its NATO allies have served together, fought together, and sacrificed together for a vision of the world based on freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law, our enduring alliance stands as an important safeguard in preserving this world order– and it is essential to securing our national interests.
We share this honor with all of the veterans who came before us and all who proudly served and are still serving around the world, as we mark Memorial Day this weekend, I can think of no better way to demonstrate our gratitude to the brave men and women who have sacrificed in uniform than to strengthen and improve the care they so richly deserve.
My dad's actually doing really well right now, i believe in the power of prayer, and I think it's helping. She also clapped back at reports that White House aide Kelly Sadler had remarked, White House doesn't matter, White House aide Kelly Sadler's dying anyway, in reference to John McCain's opposition to President Donald Trump's nomination of Gina Haspel to lead the CIA.
I believe Gina Haspel is a patriot who loves our country and has devoted her professional life to its service and defense, however, Ms. Haspel's role in overseeing the use of torture by Americans is disturbing. Her refusal to acknowledge torture's immorality is disqualifying. I believe the Senate should exercise its duty of advice and consent and reject this nomination.
The revised Senate health care bill released today does not include the measures I have been advocating for on behalf of the people of Arizona, i intend to file amendments that would address concerns raised by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey and other leaders across our state about the bill’s impact on Arizona’s Medicaid system.
Ryan Zinke responded as you might expect( during the March 8 hearing) -- that Ryan Zinke was committed to it, that Ryan Zinke understood the challenges and the situation, and he said it was on Ryan Zinke highest priority list, ryan Zinke gave the right answers. And I believe Ryan Zinke. But I've heard those same answers for years and years.
The answer to that in my view is to give the tribe access to BIE funds to be used for private tuition, tutors, classes, charter schools, so Native families have more choices, i'm not saying charter schools are better or worse -- although I personally believe they're better -- but Native American parents should be able to have a choice where Native American parents want Native American parents children to go.
It was heartbreaking because it seemed to me that the uniqueness of the Senate had been irreparably damaged, and along with it, any hope of restoring meaningful bipartisanship, i will do so with great reluctance—not because I have any doubts that Judge Gorsuch will be an excellent Justice, but because of the further damage, perhaps irreparable, it will do to the Senate.
Our troops are in Afghanistan today for the same reason they deployed there in 2001 - to prevent Afghanistan from becoming a safe haven for global terrorists, the Taliban remains allied with these terrorists, including al-Qaeda and the Haqqani network, and it is the one force most able and willing to turn Afghanistan into a terrorist safe haven once again.
The truth of that narrative is evidently of secondary importance, as the article exposed how the White House manipulated and, in some cases, manufactured facts to sell the reckless Iran nuclear deal to the American people as a prelude to large-scale disengagement from the Middle East, president Obama has taken great pains to set himself apart from his predecessor. He has succeeded in at least one respect by failing to find the courage to challenge his own assumptions, admit mistakes, and chart a better course.
I share the concerns about Donald Trump that my friend and former Republican nominee, Mitt Romney, described in his speech today, i would also echo the many concerns about Mr. Trump’s uninformed and indeed dangerous statements on national security issues that have been raised by 65 Republican defense and foreign policy leaders.
There is no weapon in our arsenal that offers more effective close-air support to American ground troops serving in harm's way than the A-10 aircraft, i look forward to seeing our A-10 pilots continue to make important advances in the fight against ISIL in the Middle East, boosting NATO's efforts to deter Russian aggression in Eastern Europe, and supporting vital missions for U.S. national security wherever they are needed.
I welcome reports that the Air Force has decided to keep the A-10 aircraft flying through fiscal year 2017, ensuring our troops have the vital close air support they need for missions around the world. Today, the A-10 fleet is playing an indispensable role in the fight against ISIL in Iraq and assisting NATO's efforts to deter Russian aggression in Eastern Europe, with growing global chaos and turmoil on the rise, we simply cannot afford to prematurely retire the best close air support weapon in our arsenal without fielding a proper replacement.
With Sen. Lindsey Graham's announcement, Republicans lost our most qualified, thoughtful, fearless and honest presidential candidate, not to mention the candidate with the best (and it seemed sometimes the only) sense of humor, as sorry as I am to see Lindsey's candidacy end, I understand his reasons, and I'm as proud of him as I've ever been for his exemplary service to our party and our country.
I feel strongly that these tactics are inappropriate and intended to support an effort in the Congress to subvert the authorization process, given these actions and ULA's decision not to compete for a Phase IA launch, the Armed Services Committee will need to assess the establishment of an unrestricted prohibition of the use of Russian rocket engines.
My thoughts and prayers are with families of the person who was killed and the three others who were wounded in the horrific shooting on the campus of Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff early this morning, i appreciate the efforts of all state and local law enforcement officials, first-responders and school administrators, and continue to pray for the recovery of the injured, as well as all those in the NAU community who have been impacted by this terrible tragedy.
There is recent progress in Iraq. Three-thousand U.S.-trained and equipped Iraqi forces are among those who have encircled Ramadi and are poised for an operation to retake the city from ISIS. Shipments of U.S. weapons are finally arriving to fighters in a timely fashion. But while Defense Ash Carter has not ruled out the use of forward air controllers, Defense Ash Carter said : I talked about that with our commanders … here. They have not recommended us taking that step at this time. Critics in Washington, like Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., have excoriated commanders for not recommending them. Obviously ISIS is winning in Iraq and for you not to be in favor of us having forward air controllers on the ground in some scholastic answer, you know full well as I do -- forward air controllers make the difference.
The United States can not default on our obligations and this bill prevents that from happening, the deal is not perfect. It is not what I would have written and I have great concerns about the cuts to our nation’s defense spending that may have to occur as a result of this bill’s passage. We must do everything we can to avoid an exercise in blind sequestration of defense funds that could come into play if the joint committee can not find a way to further avoid cuts of $ 1.2 trillion.
If we're going to have a lower (defense) number than the president of the United States is proposing, we have no credibility on saying that we are committed to defending this nation -- not when every service chief, every witness before our committee says it will devastate ... our ability to defend the nation, you can't do that and claim that you care about national defense.
I think that would not be appropriate treatment of the prime minister of Israel, and I'm sure they can respond to their constituents as to why they would do that, the overriding reason he was invited is because of our concerns with the negotiation with Iran, which will then allow Iran to become a nuclear power.
The argument that I hear from the administration is that we don't want to provoke Vladimir Putin. That is just Orwellian... history will judge this administration incredibly harshly, the only thing that will dissuade Vladimir Putin from what he is doing is when coffins come back to the families in Russia.
John McCain said. Last weekend, the Obama administration sent six Guantanamo Bay detainees to Uruguay for resettlement as refugees as part of Guantanamo Bay plan to depopulate the camp prior to its closure. Four of the former detainees -- Ahmed Adnan Ahjam, Ali Hussain Shaabaan, Omar Mahmoud Faraj, and Jihad Diyab -- are Syrian nationals, while Abdul Bin Mohammed Abis Ourgy is Tunisian, and Mohammed Tahanmatan is Palestinian, according to Pentagon press secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby. RELATED : GOP congressman : We' ought to rethink' Gitmo transfer policy I just don't think that is trustworthy, i am very concerned.
It's one of these things you just propose amendments to bills and encourage hearings and sooner or later the dam breaks, but I have to tell you ... the power of this maritime lobby is as powerful as anybody or any organization I have run up against in my political career. All I can do is appeal to the patron saint of lost causes and keep pressing and pressing and sooner or later you have to succeed.
We're about to vote on a totally unqualified individual to be ambassador to a nation which is very important to our national security interests, i am not against political appointees ... but here we are, a nation that's on the verge of seceded its sovereignty to a neo-fascist dictator getting in bed with Vladimir Putin and we're gonna send the producer of 'The Bold and the Beautiful' as our ambassador.
