Quotes from the news wire:
This is a low probability event and I don’t see anything right now that indicates a high chance that it will change immediately. But a lot is happening.

I don't think that kind of language is appropriate, to talk about violence and rioting. I know you don't. It's inappropriate. I'll also tell you the threats on Donald Trump's family are outrageous. They have no right to be threatening his family, so why doesn't everyone just realize we're better in America when we're together and we're unified. And if you go to a convention and you lose, be a big enough person to say, 'I gave it my best and I didn't win.' That's what I would say if I didn't.
I think we're going to go to a convention -- which is really an extension of the political process -- and when we get there, the delegates are going to think about two things: No. 1, who can win in the fall? And I was glad to hear Lindsey (Graham) say 'Kasich's the best general election candidate' because I don't think the other two can win, and secondly -- now this is a crazy idea -- who actually could be president of the United States and do a good job? When the delegates think about that, I think we will do very well and we will go to the convention with momentum.
When you attack Hispanics, when you characterize all Muslims in a negative way, when you insult women, we don't think that that's good, we think, at this point in time more than any other time, we need to have America united, and we need to have an American president that's going to unite us and not divide us.
I've balanced budgets, I was the chief architect (of a balanced federal budget) in Washington, we created jobs, families were better, when I came to Ohio we were $8 billion in the hole, now we're $2 billion in the black, we have lots of school choice, I've cut taxes by more than any sitting governor in America. You know, families are better, wages are growing faster than the national average, our credit is strong. What is there not to like?
That is conservatism, to give people a chance to live out their God-given potential, and because some people say they don't like my tone or because I question abolishing Medicare or Medicaid, that that's not conservative? Listen, I have a plan to improve Medicare and Medicaid. I have done it in Ohio. To say that we're going to deport 10 or 11 million people and divide families, that's just nutty.
It's so silly! here's what my goal is: I not only want to cut taxes and create jobs for families, but ship a lot of programs back home so that people will be empowered to begin to build our families and our communities, which is about the spirit of our country. Now if that's not conservative, you tell me what is.
These plans would put us trillions and trillions of dollars in debt, why don’t we just give a chicken in every pot?

I think (abortion) is an important issue, but I think there's many other issues that are really critical. Early childhood. Infant mortality. The environment. Education, i think we focus too much on just one issue, and now that the issue of gay marriage is kind of off the table, we're kind of down to one social issue.
I think ISIS has risen, frankly, because there's been nobody over there to stop them, i think that all the religions of the world ought to stand up and say, 'You blow up innocent men, women and children and you think you're going to paradise? There's something wrong with you. You're nuts. If we catch you, we're going to throw you into prison, maybe for the rest of your life.'.
I'm not sure I want to sound like a candidate. I just want to sound like an American who's trying to make this country a heck of a lot stronger, not a (typical) politician ... but somebody that's going to go in, do the job, not pay attention to all the special interest groups, change the status quo, shift power out of Washington and get America on the track again with strength in our military as well.
I went home and I said to my wife, 'my friend's getting married. What do you think? You wanna go?' She goes, 'Oh, I'm absolutely going.' I called him today and said, 'Hey, just let me know what time it is,' my friend knows how I feel about the issue, but I'm not here to have a war with him. I care about my friend, and so it's pretty simple for me.
