The Federal Reserve, in my opinion, always pays way too much attention to the stock market, they shouldn't pay zero. But they pay way more than zero, and The President is obsessed with it, and The President yells at the Federal Reserve, and this feedback loop is a bad one, from the point of view of the fundamentals of policy.
