We just let the top half of the garden go wild and installed log piles, i worked all through the lockdown but spent lots of time in our garden. I came across these two mouse families at either ends of the garden. One group lives under some old decking, and the other lives in a little mossy hill near an old shed.

There will be a couple of what we call fast boats will come up to the capsule at that point and make sure that everything is safe on the outside of the capsule for it to be hoisted on board the recovery ship, at that point, the recovery ship is moving in and in communications with the fast boats ...once everybody gives the thumbs up that we are ready to be hoisted aboard it will get lifted aboard by a crane and cradled on board the aft portion of the ship.

Building on work at the site by a Hungarian mission, Kathleen has confirmed the presence of a Ptolemaic period Isis temple within the larger Osiris temple that dominates the site, add to this a hoard of coins with Cleopatras portrait on them, and other Greco-Roman period finds not [the] least, fragments of statuary and mummies and we can certainly say that Taposiris Magna was active during Cleopatras reign.

It would be remarkable if it could have survived the millennia of culture change and natural ruin, even if untouched by human hands, earthquakes and seawater would have buried or submerged it.

My understanding is that the mummies found there are more likely to be high-status priests than members of the royal family.

I believe now that Cleopatra was buried in her tomb that she built next to her palace and it is under the water, her tomb will never be found.

Even if untouched by human hands, earthquakes and seawater would have buried or submerged it, her palace is certainly under water. Maybe her mausoleum, too.

Its worth pointing out that there is much to this place besides Cleopatra though archaeological work here is set to help us understand more about its role in trade between Mediterranean and African worlds, religious activity and afterlife beliefs, social structures and population. Theres also the question of how far back in time use of this place goes. Cleos just one thread of business, and we shouldnt take our eye off the bigger picture.

Its quite normal for Egyptians to want to be buried near their influential leaders, and Kathleen [Martinez] has made some remarkable discoveries in the vicinity that feature in the film [documentary], including a once gold-leaf covered mummy. This definitely makes for [interesting] TV, but suggesting that people at this site are crowding around [Cleopatras tomb] specifically is a tough argument to make.

Further supporting evidence of the absence of these large apex predators is the lack of any feeding or bite marks on whale carcasses the city has removed from False Bay this year, we do not know how their absence from False Bay would affect the ecosystem.

I thought it would make an interesting picture because theres some great symbolism, manstone Rock looks like a persons face. You can make out the face easily and it is looking at the comet. The idea of the face looking at the comet appealed to me.

The most elite had equids of some sort (potentially donkeys) buried outside the tombs, often in pairs as though ready to pull a chariot. This is both a foreign characteristic of burial style, but also suggestive of someone [with] very high status.

The tombs with non-Egyptian burial customs were especially intriguing typically males buried with bronze weaponry in constructed tombs, without scarabs or other protective amulets like Egyptians would have been buried with, the most elite had equids of some sort (potentially donkeys) buried outside the tombs, often in pairs as though ready to pull a chariot. This is both a foreign characteristic of burial style, but also suggestive of someone [with] very high status.

Strontium enters our bodies primarily through the food we eat, it readily replaces calcium, as its a similar atomic radius. This is the same way lead enters our skeletal system; although, while lead is dangerous, strontium is not.

The bubble machine is fantastic as all the movement and new shapes and colors really stimulate these guys, they have a great time chasing them around, things have had to change a little bit during lockdown, the animals routines has changed a little bit on a daily basis and weve had to cut out some of the experiences and things they would receive throughout the day.
