Poltergeist: The Legacy

opening credits narrator:
Since the beginning of time, mankind has existed between the world of light and the world of darkness. This journal chronicles the work of our secret society known as the Legacy, created to protect the innocent from those creatures that inhabit the shadows and the night.

[Season One opening title narration]

Derek Rayne, Ph.D.:
Since the beginning of time, mankind has existed between the world of light and the world of darkness. Our secret society has been here forever, protecting others the creatures that inhabit the shadows and the night. Known only to be initiated by our true name: the Legacy.

Derek Rayne, Ph.D.:
[smiling, advances on Banyon] So, my friend, in the dark of night, you arrive to begin these proceedings. An ironic touch, I thought, but then a Legacy Guardian would always close the shades each time you came to visit me. And now I stand here condemned, before a wall of darkness. But you and I know that the first thing we are taught as precepts is to cut through the bonds of evil and let in the light of truth! [produces a dagger, stabs Banyon through the hand, pegging him to the desk]

Derek Rayne, Ph.D.:
[opens shutters, letting light in] Stand back everyone!

Charles Banyon:
[screams] A curse on your house and you! [explodes]

Charles Banyon:
[entering room: Rayne sees no reflection of Banyon in his mirror] You asked to see me? [repeats himself]

Derek Rayne, Ph.D.:
Yes. Just to tell you that I will also do what is necessary.

[chanting a counter-ritual with the ignited 'Hand of Glory' to send the Warden back to whence he came]

Father Philip Callaghan:
Hand of glory, hand of power, conjured in the witching hour. The Warden's work is all unfurled, the Warden must depart this world. And with each douse, I thee confound,and dig thee deeper in the ground. And with the last, I thee command; return to hell without thy hand!
