Do you want to introduce yourself to the class?

Hisao Nakai:
Yeah, sure, I mean, isn't that normal?

Nurse:
Good. Well, you've probably been briefed about the school enough, so I'll just go over this quickly. We have all kinds of facilities available, mostly physical therapy and such.There's always someone from my staff around, even at night, so never hesitate to call us if there is a problem.

Hisao Nakai:
[Narrating] The famous twenty-four-hour nursing staff.

Hisao Nakai:
Wow, this is like a hospital.

Nurse:
Well, not exactly. For instance, we don't do brain surgery here.

Doctor:
Compared to other heart problems, people with your condition usually tend to live long lives. You'll need a job one day and this is a good opportunity to continue your education.

Hisao Nakai:
[Narrating] This isn't an opportunity, don't call it an opportunity. Don't call it a goddamned opportunity.

Father:
Well, you should be excited at the chance to go back to school. I remember you wanted to return to school, and while it's not the same one...

Hisao Nakai:
[Narrating] A special school. That's... An insult. That is what I want to say. It's a step down.

Father:
It's not what you think. All of the students there are pretty active, in their own sort of way. It's geared towards students that can still get around and learn, but just need a little help... in one way or another.

Doctor:
Your father's right. And many of the graduates of the school have gone on to do amazing things. A person doesn't have to be held back by their disability. One of my colleagues in another hospital is a graduate.

Hisao Nakai:
[Narrating] I don't care. A person doesn't have to be held back by their disability? That's what a disability is.

Hisao Nakai:
What's the festival about? [Misha freezes]

Shiina "Misha" Mikado:
...Wahahaha! I don't know, Hicchan, the truth is it's a local event, and I'm not from this area, so... [Reading Shizune's signing] Huh? Oh. [very enthusiastic] Who Cares?

Rin Tezuka:
So, Nakai, what brings you to this place?

Hisao Nakai:
Like I said, I was told to look for these things.

Rin Tezuka:
No, the school. From outside, you look fine. Is your problem inside?

Hisao Nakai:

Rin Tezuka:
I can guess. I am good at guessing. Better than most people.I don't think it's anything in your head, and something in your guts would be boringly ordinary, like this lunch of mine. And less delicious. The problem must be in your pants!

Hisao Nakai:
[Narrating] This messed-up Sherlock Holmes kind of statement and the sheer lack of tact it was delivered with catches me completely off guard. I think I might've reeled back even physically as Rin's eyes widen in revelation and astonishment.

Rin Tezuka:
So I was right! There's something wrong with your tackle, isn't there?

Hisao Nakai:
Umm... so, I think I have all the things now.

Rin Tezuka:
That's very nice for you. Don't feel obliged to stay. I was about to take a nap anyway. You need to do whatever you are going to do with that stuff anyway, right? Or perhaps you like to watch girls sleeping?

Hisao Nakai:
[Intrigued] Ehh... Even if I did, I think I have to be going. I... I'll catch you around, Tezuka.

Rin Tezuka:
You can call me Rin. I feel that our relationship is at this point good enough to warrant this much.

Hisao Nakai:
[as Hisao approaches the door, turns to look at Rin] Fine, then I'm Hisao.

Rin Tezuka:

Hisao Nakai:
[Quietly backs out of the room, shuts the door, whispers to himself] What an intriguing person...

Rin Tezuka:
[From inside, in a muffled, sing-song voice] I heard that!

Hisao Nakai:
So, er... what's your name?

Hanako Ikezawa:
[Stuttering in low voice] H... Hanako...

Hisao Nakai:
Hanako, eh? So what are you reading?

[Hanako shows the book she is reading while she hides her face behind the book]

Hisao Nakai:
Life of Pi? I've never heard of it before. What's it about?

Hanako Ikezawa:
A boy... and a tiger... on a boat...

Hisao Nakai:
Sounds interesting. Is it any good?

[Hanako Nods]

Hisao Nakai:
Is it a library book? I'm looking for new ones to read, but there's just so many...

Hanako Ikezawa:
N-no. It's mine.

Hisao Nakai:
Oh. So... do you come here often?

[Hanako blushes]

Hisao Nakai:

Hanako Ikezawa:

Hanako Ikezawa:

[Hanako runs off]

Lilly Satou:
So, Which room were you looking for? It's not often this classroom is visited after school.

Hisao Nakai:
The school library. Shizune and Mi - I mean some classmates, told me it was on this floor.

Lilly Satou:
I'm aware of Miss Hakamichi, as are most students. To be with them means you're in class 3-3, no?

Hisao Nakai:
That's right. In the science room with Mutou.

Lilly Satou:
[Gives a small giggle] He's quite a character. I imagine you'll come to like him; most do [Lilly sets down the tea]

Hisao Nakai:
Thanks, Satou. It tastes really nice.

Lilly Satou:
Lilly, please. There's no need to be too formal.

Hisao Nakai:
So which class are you from? I imagine it's one of the third-year classes.

Lilly Satou:
Correct, I'm in class 3-2; which is on the third floor, same as yours. It's taught by Miyagi, and is specifically for both blind and partially blind students.

Hisao Nakai:
I see. Ah, I mean, uh, s-sorry...

Emi Ibarazaki:
Good morning! Your name is Hisao, right? [Emi Grins] You may not remember me. Emi? I knocked you over in the hall yesterday.

Hisao Nakai:
How could I forget such a er, blunt introduction?

Emi Ibarazaki:
Yeah, sorry about that. Again.

Hisao Nakai:
[Joking] Hmm, well, so long as you don't make a habit of it, I suppose I'll be fine.

Hisao Nakai:
So the 'spy-consultant' the nurse was talking about... is that actually you?

Emi Ibarazaki:
That's right!

Hisao Nakai:
Oh, I was expecting someone from the nursing staff, to be honest.

Emi Ibarazaki:
What, are you saying I don't look like I could be a spy?

Hisao Nakai:
No, this is more like a relief. I was afraid he would have someone to watch my every move, unless you are here to do exactly that.

Emi Ibarazaki:
