One Last Sunset

Nita:
What do you miss most ?

Bridgot:
Nothing.

Nita:
I do. Not the big things but the little things. Like when Sandles used to greet me when I'd come home. He'd lick my face and his tail would wag so hard , he'd knock himself over.

Bridgot:
We don't have tomorrows , anymore. Each passing second of survival is all that matters.

Bridgot:
How have you managed to survive out here by yourself for so long ?

Deidre:
I managed to realize that there ain't no managing. There ain't no steering wheel. Then it comes real easy to kill everything that f***ing moves. Best you can hope for is to die fighting.

Bridgot:
I remember everything being normal. Then one day I woke up, and the world changed.

Deidre:
This is heaven on earth. We're surrounded by death and yet we've never felt so alive.
