C.J. Parsons:
Marsha, how do you like your steak? Do you like it well done, medium or still mooing?

C.J. Parsons:
What kind of people exploit children?

Matt Houston:
The kind I intend to hurt, C.J.

Matt Houston:
So chalk one up for the good guys, huh? Balance sheet's even. Why do I feel like hell? Logan was a rotten man. I turned the tables on him, I turned his own people against him and they burned him. Hooray. Why don't I feel like celebrating?

C.J. Parsons:
Because you're not like him.

Matt Houston:
How ya feelin'?

C.J. Parsons:
Better now that I'm looking at my favorite face in the whole world.

C.J. Parsons:
Houston, I know the D.E. A. wants us off this case but she was a friend of mine and I can't just sit on my hands. I wanna know the truth.

Matt Houston:
Sounds like I got myself a new client.

C.J. Parsons:
Where do we start?

Matt Houston:
Best place to start is the scene of the crime. I read that in a book someplace. C'mon.

C.J. Parsons:
You know, Houston. There's an old saying: You gotta kiss a lot of frogs before you meet your prince.

Matt Houston:
[Leans toward C.J. and kisses her on the lips, then leans back to meet her eyes] Ribbit!

Matt Houston:
All right, the party's over, witchypoo. I believe this is what you call a Mexican standoff.

C.J. Parsons:
Houston, when you were a kid, did you have a best friend?

Matt Houston:
Yes I did. Yes I did. Now I have a better one.

Moonshine Moody:
But there's only two of us. They've got the whole town. Those are rotten odds.

Matt Houston:
I'm a sucker for long shots.

Matt Houston:
Scotch?

C.J. Parsons:
Apple juice. I like to take my sorrows sober.

Matt Houston:
Is there anything I can do?

C.J. Parsons:
[nods her head] You can erase the last six weeks and glue my heart back together.

[Paul has just seen the coroner's officials removing his new bride's body from the crime scene]

Paul Chapman:
[crying] I have to go with her!

Matt Houston:
[shouting, while restraining Paul at the same time] You CAN'T go with her, dammit!

Matt Houston:
She's gone, Paul! She's gone.

[Paul hugs his friend, then cries even harder]

Paul Chapman:
What am I going to do, Houston? I can't go back to that house without her!

Matt Houston:
You'll come home with me.

Paul Chapman:
We have to find out who did this, Houston.

[Houston has been called to the scene of Bonnie's murder by Paul & Lt. Hoyt]

Lt. Michael Hoyt:
[addressing Houston] The killer jumped a waiter, stole his clothes, knocked out your friend and... well, you know the rest.

Matt Houston:
So nothing was taken?

Lt. Michael Hoyt:
Right. This is NOT a robbery.

Lt. Michael Hoyt:
You say you were his best man at his wedding? What he needs now is a best friend. [Hoyt moves on to further investigate as Houston joins his grieving friend]

Matt Houston:
Are we gonna find out if there's a heaven or do we all wind up as rabbits in Idaho?

Matt Houston:
This conversation reminds me of a hobbled horse

Matt Houston:
It's not goin' anywhere
