Linda:
Mr. Jacobs, it's Linda from Will's team. Something horrible has happened. Franklin is dead - from a viral infection.

Steven Jacobs:
What the hell are you talking about?

Linda:
He was exposed to the 113. It does something to people that it doesn't do to apes.

Steven Jacobs:
You used an untested drug on your father. I could end your career with one phone call.

Will Rodman:
Let me save you the trouble. I quit.

Maurice:
[to Caesar in sign language] Why coockie Rocket?

Caesar:
[to Maurice in sign language and breaking and bundling sticks] Ape alone... weak. Apes together... strong.

Maurice:
[to Caesar in sign language as they observe chimps beating each other and stop] Apes stupid.

Will Rodman:
Caesar. I'm sorry. This my fault. This has to stop. This isn't the way, you know what they're capable of. Please come home. If you come home, I'll protect you.

Caesar:
[looks at the apes and to Will] Caesar is home.

Dodge Landon:
Take your stinking paws off me you damn dirty ape!

Caesar:
NO!

Rodney:
[looks at Caesar while he pulls the tranq-gun back and softly] Oh, my God.

Buck:
[looks at Caesar and softly] Oh-oh-oh.

Caesar:
[grunts and looks at the other apes who are screeching] NO!

Buck:
[grunts]

Caesar:
NO! [jumps and walks along the cages] NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

Dodge Landon:
[groans]

Rodney:
[gasping]

Dodge Landon:
It's a madhouse! A madhouse!

Koba:
[Writing on computer board] Jacobs

Steven Jacobs:
[Jacobs laughs] Ha ha ha!

Maurice:
[in sign language; subtitled] Hurt bad?

Caesar:
[in sign language] You know sign?

Maurice:
[nods; in sign language] Circus orangutan.

[Caesar and the orangutan Maurice observe John tranquilizes a chimp. Caesar grabs the bars of his cage and shrieks and growls]

Maurice:
[to Caesar in sign language] Careful. Humans don't like smart ape.

Will Rodman:
I'm taking him out of here right now.

John Landon:
Not without a court-order you're not! Besides he's not yours anymore.

Party Boy:
[at Caesar's cage] Hey, check out this guy.

Dodge Landon:
Hey that one's a pain in the ass, man! He thinks he's special or something.

Party Boy:
Freaky. Come here. Come on. It's like he's thinking or something.

Caesar:
[grabs the man's throat and staresand growls]

Party Girl #2:
Oh, my God! He has his throat!

Party Girl #1:
Let him go!

Dodge Landon:
[Dodge runs towards Caesar] Let go!

Caesar:
[grunts and releases the and leans towards Rocket's cage]

Rocket:
[he jumps up, he growls and jumps down]

Dodge Landon:
I told you not to get too close man.

Dodge Landon:
The new kid on the block kind of gets picked on.

Will Rodman:
[sees Dodge's prode] That's bullshit! What did you to him?

Dodge Landon:
[Will pushes Dodge to the wall and John comes in] Let go man!

Will Rodman:
You want me to take him? I can't take care of a monkey.

Robert Franklin:
He's not a monkey! He's an ape.

Will Rodman:
[from trailer] Caesar shows cognitive skills that far exceed that of a human counterpart. The drug in his system has radicly boosted healthy brain functions.

[from trailer]

Will Rodman:
Look, you have no idea of what you're dealing with!

[from trailer]

John Landon:
They're not people you know.

Steven Jacobs:
[to Will] I swear, you know everything about the human brain except the way it works.

Robert Franklin:
Mr. Jacobs, please! I am begging you, don't do this!

Steven Jacobs:
It would cost a small fortune to run lab test on all those chimps that would tell me what I already know! That they are contaminated!

Robert Franklin:
Please, Mr. Jacobs! Lives are at stake! These are animals with personalities, with attachments!

Steven Jacobs:
Attachments?

Robert Franklin:
Yes.

Steven Jacobs:
I run a business, not a petting zoo. Find the most cost-effective way to put those apes down!

Caroline Aranha:
[to Will after he posts a picture of him and infant Caesar] Hey. Some things aren't meant to be changed. You need to accept that.

[first lines]

Robert Franklin:
[administering chimp intelligence test] Okay, okay. Here you go. And let's go again. [gives Bright Eyes treat and clocks timer]

Will Rodman:
Which one's this? Number nine?

Robert Franklin:
Yeah, this is number nine. Bright Eyes, we call her. Are you watching this? This is unbelievable. [Bright Eyes does the tower fast] Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

Bright Eyes:
[grabs treat and eats it]

Will Rodman:
How many moves was that?

Robert Franklin:
20. [Will looks at them and starts to head out] Yeah, a perfect score is 15. Doc, what are you giving her?

Will Rodman:
[heads out] Hey, give that video! [runs out the hallway and opens the door to Steven Jacobs' office] Chimp number nine, just one dose.

Steven Jacobs:
[looks at Will and holds a phone down] Aren't I seeing you later?

Will Rodman:
[puts file on desk] We're good to go.

Steven Jacobs:
I'm going to call you back. Yeah, all right. Thanks. Bye.

Will Rodman:
The 112. It works. [walks to a large screen]

Steven Jacobs:
On just the one primate.

Will Rodman:
One is all we need. Full cognitive recorvery. We're ready.

Steven Jacobs:
Look are you sure you're not rushing this?

Will Rodman:
I've been working on this for five and a half years. The data is clear. We're ready, Steven. All I need is your approval for human trials.

Steven Jacobs:
For this, you're going to need the board's approval. There's alot of money riding on this, Will. You only get one shot.

Will Rodman:
One shot is all I need.

Steven Jacobs:
[sighing] All right. But I'll need to see all the research.

Will Rodman:
[bangs on the desk] You got it.

Steven Jacobs:
And, Will...

Will Rodman:
Yeah?

Steven Jacobs:
Keep your personal emotions out of it. These people invest in results, not dreams.

Will Rodman:
Okay. [leaves office]

Caroline Aranha:
I love chimpanzees. I'm also afraid of them. And it's appropriate to be afraid of them.

Will Rodman:
[from internatiol trailer] Why don't we begin? Meet Chimp Nine. We gave him a gene therapy that allows the brain to create it own cells in order to repair itself. We call it the Cure to Alzheimer's.

Caesar:
[grunt-like and at Koba with hands signals] Go Up!

Koba:
[grunts] [leads some orangutans and chimps up on the beams]

Caesar:
[to Maurice and with signals] Go Under!

Maurice:
[roars and screeches] [leads most of the orangutans and some chimps under the bridge]

John Landon:
[aggravated] I get more peace in a goddamned ape house.

Charles Rodman:
Oh, he's a smart one, isn't he?

Hunsiker:
[about not seeing Caesar] Damn right it won't.

Charles Rodman:
He just wanted to play.

Charles Rodman:
As for Caesar, kneel down, kneel down and wonder!

Will Rodman:
[about exceptional chimp] We gave her what we call ALZ-112, a gene therapy that allows the brain to create its own cells in order to repair itself. In biology, this is called neurogenesis. Here at GenSys, we call it a cure to Alzheimer's.

Robert Franklin:
There are lives at stake here. These, these are animals with personalities, with attachments.

Steven Jacobs:
Attachments?

Robert Franklin:
Yeah.

Steven Jacobs:

Caroline Aranha:

Will Rodman:
Right away, Caesar displayed signs of intelligence heightened intelligence, so I kept him and brought my work home. By 18 months, Caesar was signing up to 24 words. By age two, Caesar completing puzzles and models designed for children eight years and up. At age three, Caesar continues to show cognative skills that far exceed that of his human counterpart. He completed the Lucas Tower in 15 moves, a perfect score. I maintain my hypothesis that A. the green in his eyes indicates that the ALZ-112 was passed genetically from mother to son and B., that in the absence of damaged cells that need replacing, the drug in his system has radically boosted healthy brain functioning.

Will Rodman:
My father's immune system continues to reject the 112 virus, rendering the gene therapy obsolete. His health is deteriorating, and the disease is progressing rapidly. I need a more aggressive virus strain, a faster delivery method, because at this rate...I can't lose them both. I won't lose them both.

Will Rodman:
(shouting) Caesar, stop!

Caroline Aranha:

Charles Rodman:

John Landon:
Well, I can't say that I approve. They're not people, you know.

Douglas Hunsiker:
Hey Todd, come inside for breakfast.

Douglas Hunsiker:
(to Will) If I see that animal near my house or my kids again- [...] Damn right, it won't.

Douglas Hunsiker:
(to Charles) I'm a pilot, I've got to get to the airport - how am I gonna get there now! (explosive) Answer the goddamn question! (calmer) I'm done. The police can handle it.

Douglas Hunsiker:
(shouting venomously) You're going nowhere mister! You and your son are going to pay for this! I sure hell aren't falling for you. This is your problem, you made the mess! [...] I'm not through with you! You stay right there!

Alice Hunsiker:
(shrilly) Daddy!

Dodge Landon:
You think that's funny, huh? [...] You'll learn who's boss, soon enough.

Dodge Landon:
Sometimes, the new kid on the block gets picked on.

Steven Jacobs:

Steven Jacobs:
