Carter Chambers:
You know, the ancient Egyptians had a beautiful belief about death. When their souls got to the entrance to heaven, the guards asked two questions. Their answers determined whether they were able to enter or not. 'Have you found joy in your life?' 'Has your life brought joy to others?'

I have seen this movie several times and love Morgan Freeman. In many of his roles he reflects on the Bible and God - he delivers all his lines well in all his movies however, I have him to be profound in his delivery of the lines that reflect faith. Last night I watched this movie again and this particular quote 'Have you found joy in your life?' made me reflect on my own life - yes, I have found joy! The birth of each of my children brought me joy. The second 'Has your life brought joy to others?' I believe again yes - I am a teacher and in my role as a teacher there are children I have worked with who needed a trusted adult (other than their parents) to help them become confident within themselves and I know I have done that. Teaching is not only about academics. Thank you Morgan Freeman - you are an awesome actor and I always look forward to watching your work.
