Robert Smith, The Cure

Robert Smith and two friends formed the English band, The Cure, in 1978, initially a post-punk band, later and for most of their career, labeled a goth band. The Cure have ventured into other musical territory over the years, defying that label, including standard pop and alternative songs and albums. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. Robert Smith has been the only continuous member.
