My Broken Pieces A few weeks back, a longtime friend asked if I would meet her for lunch to discuss a new job offer. We sat in the restaurant for forty-five minutes discussing her new job opportunity when her face grew solemn. She sighed, staring down into her plate. I asked, “is everything all right,” knowing she did not ask me to meet to discuss a job offer. She said, “everything is fine, but I cannot get your story or quote about the broken pieces out of my mind.” She took a deep breath raised her head and, in half whisper, said, “it really described the broken pieces in my marriage? I answered, “when promises, borders and commitment are broken, and especially betrayal, the relationship may be repaired but never return to what it once was or could have been.” Before she left, she thanked me for giving her a copy. I refer to the story, as “The Broken Vase.” The Broken Vase Love and marriage are often broken by betrayal, lies and unkept promises. Betrayal is the ultimate form of deceit and deception. It reminded me of something I wrote many years ago about a vase that was knocked off the shelf and broken into many pieces. For a moment you’re not sure what to do but then you decide to try and repair it. Imagine trying to pick up the pieces of your life, left behind in the wake of betrayal. You must be methodical and cautious because your path is covered with egg shells. You realize it may not be the same as it once was, but would vase be good enough to keep. After all, you’ve had it for thirty years. When you believe all the pieces have been collected and placed on the table, you do one last search for the smallest pieces you may have missed. You find two small pieces, place them on the table and stare down at the broken pieces of something you cherished and was beautiful. Something so precious you often proudly displayed it to friends Over a period of three weeks, you managed to glue the vase back together. You slowly turn it around on the table and realize it is an archaic reproduction of its original form. There are holes in it created by pieces you did not find and never will. Like the pieces missing from your relationship. Held together by history and commitment but still broken. And severely damaged. The vase will never hold flowers again because it cannot hold water. And like your relationship, it has become fragile as you watch a piece fall off the vase when you lifted off the table. And when you think about the broken pieces collected from your relationship, you know that will also never be the same. As you held up the beautiful vase to show people it’s beauty, that now is simply a collection of glued pieces that resembles your relationship. You can no longer showcase your marriage. Only because of its history you place the vase back on the self, but it seems out of place and detracts from the ambience around it. After a few weeks you take the vase to your home office and place it on a shelf. A few weeks later, you sadly change the location to the closet. And like your relationship it has been moved to a different place. A dark place. When people say to you, you and your wife seem to get along very well. You think about showing them the vase. All that remains of the relationship is held together by glue. After several years you are still seeking out the missing pieces from your heart knowing deep inside you will never find. There’s only one way to get them back and that is to leave. But leaving will also mean breaking more pieces. Those are your two choices. If you leave, you will get back some of the pieces you lost but you would lose others by virtue of leaving.

The Police: Society gives far too much credit and funding to these people. They're not heroes, they're not martyrs and they're not good people, none of them. These people unlawfully arrested me for not having my drivers licence during the covid 19 pandemic, when all the Secretary Of States across America were closed. They should have considered this a special circumstance but they didn't. One of the officers was searching my car and you could her him on cell phone record saying this dude stinks behind my back. They pulled me over for high head beams and impeding traffic. I was doing 30 in a 55 because it was 10:30p.m. and dark outside and I was just exercising caution. I should not be punished for exercising caution, if more people exercised caution there would be a lot less traffic fatalities and a lot less traffic accidents. If people exercised the appropriate amount of caution in all aspects of their lives the worId would be a much safer and better place. I was in a small city late at night and there wasn't much traffic, I wasn't doing anything dangerous to anyone and yet threatened to give me a ticket for impeding traffic. The only ticket the officer could have fairly given me was for failure to turn off my high head beams and yet even after pulling me over and threatening me with tickets for some reason he decided to change his mind and not ticket me at all, not even for the high head beams. I ask myself, why did he pull me over for a crime, threaten to give me tickets and then change his mind. Was it the fact that I called my mother to the traffic stop and he had to explain himself to her, was it the fact that I stood up for myself and argued with him about the charges, was it the fact that the officer and his partner had to explain their misconduct against me I don't know. But what I do know is by him pulling me over for a crime, by him threatening me with tickets and then failure to ticket me for the appropriate crime is an act of corruption no matter how you look at it. This is just one incidence of the Police's misconduct against me, there's other incidences. On another occasion they called me a liar behind my back and maliciously attacked me, deliberately trying to make me look bad for some reason and I was lucky enough to overhear them doing it. These people took my property without my permission and under unjust circumstances and everytime I come into contact with these people they never do there job fairly, for some reason they always tend to make things worse instead of better. These people will shake your hand, they will smile at you, they will pretend to be fair, they will pretend to be your friend, they will tell you to have a nice day and then they will go behind your back and maliciously attack you, slander you, try to turn you into a monster, unlawfully arrest you, obstruct justice, abuse their power, murder you and say it was self defense, they'll say they feared for their lives, but what really happened was they maliciously murdered you. They will convict you of crimes you didn't commit, they will put innocent people on death row and execute them and they don't even give a shit, they'll put you in prison and let people rape you and they say it never happened, they'll say they didn't see it, they'll say the cameras were down, they'll say they wouldn't of let it happen, they'll call you a liar, they'll say your just trying to cause trouble, they'll try to cover all these things up, but the truth is all of these things actually happened and the truth is, is that all of these cops, judges, lawyers, politicians, probation officers, parole officers, correction officers, military officials, media officials, immigration officers, FBI, the entire government and most of its citizens are all corrupt murderers, criminals, and they get away with it because they got the whole system wired in their favor. They cover for each other's misconduct and that's why these murderers running our government keep getting away with all the evil things they do.

If I can continue that, things will trend upward. Ohtani thinks this was his first walkoff hit since Game 3 of the 2016 Japan Series with the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. He said he has adjusted his stance to give him a better view of the pitcher and the entire field. Houston trailed 5-2 going into the ninth before rallying to tie. Martin Maldonado led off with a single and moved to third on George Springers double off Ty Buttrey before scoring on a passed ball. George Springers brought The Astros within a run when George Springers scored on Josh Reddicks grounder to first. Michael Brantley lined a single to center before being lifted for a pinch-runner. Myles Straw stole second with two outs and tied it on Kyle Tuckers double off Matt Andriese. The Astros manager Dusty Baker bemoaned the missed opportunities. They were 3 for 24 with runners in scoring position and left 12 on base. We did fight back in the ninth, but a lot of times you lose the game before the ninth. It was very frustrating tonight to see opportunities squandered, he said. Andriese( 2-2) bounced back and retired seven straight to get the win as Los Angeles improved to 2-5 in extra-inning games. I can not give Matt Andriese enough praise, Joe Maddon said about Matt Andriese. Matt Andriese made just the one mistake pitch but did not cave. Dylan Bundy allowed only two runs in seven innings for The Angels. Dylan Bundy only trouble came in the fourth when Houston plated a pair to get within 4-2. Michael Brantley scored on Tuckers grounder to first, and Carlos Correas double drove in Yuli Gurriel. The Angels extended The Angels lead to 5-2 in the sixth on Andrelton Simmons RBI single. Dylan Bundy lowered Dylan Bundy ERA to 2.49, which is third in the AL. The right-hander struck out eight and allowed only six hits with one walk. Andrelton Simmons led off with an infield single, Trout homered and McCullers loaded the bases with three straight walks. Baker said McCullers was not hurt, but that he hasnt pitched this many innings in a season since having Tommy John surgery on Tommy John right elbow in 2018. He didnt want to come out of the game.

I took a shot on one of the first plays. After that, it was tough. Using running back Josh Jacobs and a short passing game, Carr controlled the clock in the second half and kept the ball away from the Browns( 5-3). On the Raiders first two drives after halftime, the first leading to their go-ahead TD and the other to Carlsons 24-yard field goal with 4:24 left, they ate up 17:41. Oakland had the ball for 37:43 to 22:17 for Cleveland. Josh Jacobs finished with a career-high 128 yards 80 in the second half on 31 carries. Last week, Josh Jacobs had just 17 yards on 10 attempts. It was about time we had a run game like that, Josh Jacobs said. It feels good to be that dominant. The Raiders defense did The Raiders defense part as Las Vegas stopped Las Vegas NFL record of allowing at least 10 points at 116 straight games. Baker Mayfield couldnt get anything going with Clevelands offense, which was without star receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who suffered a season-ending knee injury last week. Baker Mayfield, who completed 21 passes in a row in the win over Cincinnati a week ago, went 12 of 25 for 122 yards. Mayfields last throw toward Jarvis Landry in the end zone was incomplete with 1:58 left, and Cody Parkey missed a 37-yard field goal to end Clevelands chances. Cody Parkey did make kicks of 41 and 38 yards. Theweather was brutal. The wind, measured from the west at 35 mph at kickoff, made it difficult for both quarterbacks to throw ; affected every punt and kick ; and forced the 12,000 fans to bundle up as it felt more like a game in late December or in Cleveland, early May. Im from the beach, Renfrow said. That was more wind than a hurricane it seemed like. It was coming sideways, backwards and forward. Carr did an excellent job managing the clock in the final minute of the first half to set up Carlsons 33-yard field goal as time expired to put The Raiders up 6-3. The Raiders appeared to take the lead in the second quarter when Carr connected with Henry Ruggs III in the back right corner of the end zone. However, Ruggs was ruled out of bounds and the call was upheld following a video review and Raiders challenge. Las Vegas settled for Carlsons 29-yard field goal to tie Las Vegas 3-3. Earlier, Carlsonhad a 41-yard attemptat the opposite end of the field blown sideways and the ball clanged off the left upright. CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP Myles Garrett SLOWED Myles Garrett was limited by an ankle injury that kept Myles Garrett out of practice this week, and now hes dealing with a knee issue. At one point, Myles Garrett was evaluated in the medical tent but came back. Myles Garrett was kept out on several plays, and lacked Myles Garrett usual explosiveness off the line. We havent made excuses and were not going to start now. Its a next-man-up league.
