Neighbors with Benefits

Lori:
I thought about going and telling my mom today [about Lori and Eric's swinging]

Eric:
Hopefully, it doesn't ruin our babysitting.

Lori:
[about Eric and Lori] We don't even have full sex with people.

Lori's mother:
You're not Bill Clinton. Sex is sex. [a reference to Clinton's "I experimented with marijuana... and didn't inhale"]

Tony:
[at home, with Diana] We shower together almost every day.

Lori:
I'm an instructor at a cosmetology school, and somehow the owners found out that Eric and I are swingers. I don't know how they found out about that, and I might have to quit my job. My job is to be a mentor to these students, and the owners feel like I really can't be in the lifestyle and be a mentor as well. What we do in our private life does not affect me as an instructor whatsoever.

Tony:
We have not played with Ben & Dedra because Ben has become my best friend. Normally, hooking up with our best friends is off limits.

[Lori and Eric explaining why they swing]

Lori:
Almost seven years ago, I was told I had to have brain surgery. By far, one of the scariest moments of my life, and just knowing that I could not wake up or I could wake up being paralyzed...

Eric:
That led us to live life to the fullest and enjoy it because you don't know what's gonna happen.

Mark:
[a Christian moralist, about the swingers' residence] Weird noises comin' from that house and some nights, some really weird noises

Tony:
[about swinging] When it comes to our children, it's gonna be hard to always explain to them because I don't necessarily want this for them.

Mark:
[about a couple that swings] Tony and Diana move into the neighborhood, and they have recruited more people than we have with our faith.

Tony:
[about swinging] If you don't put in structure and rules, this is dangerous. This is not, this is not a healthy thing to do for a relationship that is not ready. This is not an easy thing to do for a relationship that is.
