Deewane Huye Paagal (Lovers Gone Mad) is a 2005 Indian Hindi romantic action comedy film directed by Vikram Bhatt, and produced by Firoz A. Nadiadwala. The film features Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor, Sunil Shetty, Rimi Sen, Paresh Rawal along with many others. Aftab Shivdasani and Vivek Oberoi make guest appearances. Amisha Patel was suppose to featured in leading role, however things didn’t go as planned because of rift between patel and Kareena kapoor the ex-love of Shahid kapoor. The film was released on 25 November 2005. It turned out to be a box office flop. Its plot was lifted from the 1998 American comedy film There's Something About Mary.
