Diablo III: Reaper of Souls

Malthael:
[just before the final battle] Nephalem... the Black Soulstone journeys through the portal to Sanctuary. Even now, it spreads Death across your world. And so ends... the Eternal Conflict.

Tyrael:
[opening cinematic] Diablo was defeated. For a time, it seemed we would know peace. But it was not to be... for Diablo's essence lingers in the Black Soulstone. I cannot destroy the stone, nor allow its evil to remain in the Heavens. And so, it must be hidden... even from the angels. I pray that it will be enough.

Tyrael:
[Cut to the Tomb of Rakkis, where four hooded figures hold the Black Soulstone at the ends of their spears, until they place it within its receptacle] You have done well, Horadrim. Your service here is finished. You should all...

Tyrael:
[the four Horadrim near the stone, and two more near the door, tense on hearing someone approach]... run.

Tyrael:
[the approaching figure enters the room - an angel in dark vestments, carrying a pair of sickle-like blades] Malthael.

Tyrael:
[Malthael's hood tilts slightly to one side, before he decapitates the two Horadrim near the door, and unleashes a deathly mist. Tyrael creates a shield with his angelic sword and turns to the Horadrim behind him] Go! Go! Find the Nephalem!

Tyrael:
[the Horadrim runs, while Tyrael watches in horror as one of the others has his soul taken by Malthael. Holding his sword out, it passes through the dark angel as if nothing. Malthael disarms him, lifts him up with one of his sickles, and draws out his soul essence with the other] Brother... why?

Tyrael:
[Malthael examines the soul essence, then looks back at Tyrael... before casting him aside and approaching the Black Soulstone] The Nephalem... *will* stop you.

Malthael:
[ominously] No one can stop Death.

The Grand Maester:
[meeting in the secret Templar stronghold in Westmarch] Kormac! The shining example of a true templar! We have much to talk about.

Kormac, the Templar:
Yes, we do, grand maester. You have betrayed us all, starting with the torment of our initiation!

The Grand Maester:
It was brutal, but necessary. I did the hard things no one else would - for the ascension of humanity. I carry the weight of my actions with me always. Are you ready to make a similar sacrifice, Kormac? Will you stand with me, and become maester in due time? I *need* you.

Kormac, the Templar:
[hesitates] But... I... No! Your power has driven you to madness if you think I will help you rule over mankind.

The Grand Maester:
This saddens me greatly, my son. I am... sorry. [to his guards] Kill him.
