Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County (2004-2006), often referred to only as Laguna Beach, is a dramatic soap opera on MTV. In its first season (2004), it was a reality television series featuring affluent teenagers living in Laguna Beach, California, about 40 miles south of Los Angeles. In its second season, it retained its well-groomed, relatively untrained cast and documentary-like cinematic style, but became almost fully scripted.
