One aspect of modern life which has gone far to stifle men is the rapid growth of tremendous corporations. Enormous spiritual sacrifices are made in the transformation of shopkeepers into employees. The disappearance of free enterprise has led to a submergence of the individual in the impersonal corporation in much the same manner as he has been submerged in the state in other lands.
One of the Laws of Karma teaches us that if someone strongly believes something to be true; then sometime in her/his lifetime she/he will be called upon to demonstrate that particular truth. It's true. Life always offers opportunity, at least once, to put to practice what you believe in and what you are passionate about.
One of the oldest and well-accepted myths, which is the greatest enemy of truth in my view, is that one simply cannot maintain the best quality of life without consuming hazardous, toxic, and depleting substances. This myth has been persistent but unrealistic. Today, Innovative Scientists and Brilliant Green Chemistry Followers are defying this ancient myth of trade-off and "quid pro quo" - by apprpriately designing their chemical reactions, and selecting non-hazardous alternatives to otherwise toxic reagents. That's the way to to go! We must think Green, to keep our Beautiful Mother Earth Fresh and Clean - at all times.
Only during the challenging phases in life, we realize the subtle difference between an acqaintance, a fair-weather friend, and a true friend. An acquaintance is around you merely to enjoy your company; a fair-weather friend flatters when all is well; but a true friend has always your best interests at heart, and the guts to tell you honestly and frankly what you must hear, whether you like it or not.
Only when we grow up and mature, not just physically but also emotionally, we begin to appreciate that the colossal challenges, the searing sorrow, and the melodramatic melancholy in human life are not there to create agony, anguish and anxiety; but to toughen and to purify the human soul. There is always a purpose behind every act from almighty omnipresent Supreme Power, which we are expected to understand in time, if not right now. This self-realization is a wake up call, a reality check that truly changes our mindset and transforms our behavior thereafter.
Our schools have been scientifically designed to prevent over-education from happening. ... The average American (should be) content with their humble role in life, because they're not tempted to think about any other role.
Paradoxical as it may seem, holding on to certain things may make you weaker while letting go of those things may make you stronger. Sometimes letting go of things that are too heavy to carry can be the difficult and yet the best move you make, for the stream of life to move on and flow smoothly onwards and upwards.
Please choose the way of peace. ... In the short term there may be winners and losers in this war that we all dread. But that never can, nor never will justify the suffering, pain and loss of life your weapons will cause.
Positive thinking often helps while coping with stress in life. However there can be occasions when it may not work for you, and you may get overwhelmed with negative thoughts. At that crossroad, you should make a turn, even a U-turn if necessary, and confront your negative thoughts fearlessly. You should now combat those negative thoughts one by one, mercilessly - by using scientific and analytical reasonings, and demanding substantiating evidence from negative thoughts. Once you start defeating those negative thoughts as irrational or unfounded or baseless, you'll find yourself getting close to the realm of positivity. Combating negativity ruthlessly - that's a new tool in your tool box along with your favorite hammer of positive thinking! Cheers!
Referring to writer and publisher T.R. Threston (Tina Threston): In life there are those who talk, talk, talk and nothing gets done. Then there are the ones that do and look for glory because of what they did. Then there are the true good hearts in the world and Tina is one them! I curse and spit on anyone that ever doubts Tina's words, generosity or intentions! If they do, clearly they do not know her and they do not deserve to know her!
Regarding the famous"glass half-full or half-empty" case, I have often wondered about the full focus and total emphasis on the glass and its contents. It's possible that when the focus is on half-empty or half-full glass, it becomes too difficult to notice a full pitcher sitting right next to that half-empty or half-full glass. And if you do have a full pitcher available, then does it matter whether the glass is half-full or half-empty? Life offers you millions of opportunities besides what you already have in your hands, in real world. So it's always smart to think about and grab the full pitcher that can fill up the glass several times over, instead of getting worked up about the half-full or half-empty glass. Look for the full pitcher, and enjoy the party! Cheers!
