Miami Ink brings together a brotherhood of tattoo artists. They learned their craft together as apprentices in South Beach. Then they went their separate ways. From Los Angeles to New York, all have become renowned artists with celebrity clientele that wait months to be inked by the masters. Now, 10 years later, they're coming home. Back to the place where it all began, South Beach, to open a tattoo shop together, live together and teach their traditions to a new generation. Their way - the right way. This is a reality series about life behind the scenes at Miami Ink, a custom tattoo parlor. The series is also a study of the interplay between 4 old friends (and 1 apprentice) as they live and work together in the pursuit of their passion: the art of tattoo. Episode 12: Yoji has been slaving away at the shop but he still can't draw. Ami threatens him with an ultimatum: if he doesn't improve his drawing, Yoji is going to have to quit his apprenticeship. Garver steps in a gives him some lessons and a very helpful piece of advice. Ami designs a huge face for Alex's back, and Garver and Nunez help draw out the impressive piece. Sue gets a fairy to celebrate her victory over cancer. Nunez tattoos a cross for Yazyth that will help her remember to have faith. Darren finishes work on an existing phoenix tattoo for his friend, Megan.
