Nigel Marven:
I've been sent these pictures of a revolutionary kind of fossil. It's a tiny dinosaur called Mircoraptor. But if you look closely there, look, there's impressions in the rock. And those impressions are of feathers, so evidence is building that birds are the direct descendants of dinosaurs. And what I want to do is go back and find, find your ancestors. Find the dinosaurs that led to birds.

Ben:
Aagh! Help me!

Nigel Marven:
They're after your food. Take your bag off. Oh, they're away.

Narrator:
But now Bob's rounded up the park's latest residents: the titanosaurs, and he's confident his newly built fence will keep them out of trouble. The titanosaur's however beg to differ.

Park Keeper Bob:
[to Nigel] Oh, I don't believe it! Nigel!

For me there's one choice. The cat I must save from extinction is this. The most famous prehistoric cat of all. This has been my prized possession since I was a little kid. Of course, it's the skull of a saber toothed cat, the most famous extinct cat of all.

For now all eyes are on the T-Rex pen. Unless Matilda calms down, things are going to get very dangerous at Prehistoric Park.

Park Keeper Bob:
[to the baby dinosaur] Come on, it's time to meet your public. I knew I could do it. I think I had the temperature too low, but these two have finally hatched out. Come on, quick, sharp. Now the little rascals are following me everywhere! The trouble is I was the first thing they saw when they broke out of their shells, and now they think I'm their mam!

Park Keeper Bob:
[to the baby dinosaur] Tuck in. Steady now, come on. Don't bolt your food. If you eat that quickly, you'll get wind! It's not easy being a Mother, you know!

[to the camera] I just hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew. I've got so little time. There's some wonderful forest over there, perfect habitat, and I think that's where we'll begin our search for T-Rex.

Narrator:
It's a big day at prehistoric Park. Throughout this huge reserve, everyone is busy preparing for the first arrival.

Park Keeper Bob:
Come on, lads, quick as you like. Can you get a ten foot pole at the bottom of the paddock?

Narrator:
They're almost finished building the enclosures for everything from giant insects to dinosaurs.

Park Keeper Bob:
Remember, check everything, 'cause it's home to a dangerous creature.

Narrator:
If Nigel can make extinct animals feel like home anywhere it's here.

Park Keeper Bob:
[on the phone to Suzanne] Suzanne, we've got a bit of a situation here.

Park Vet Suzanne:
Oh, it's a triceratops. It's a triceratops! He's done it! Our first dinosaur, look at him! He's magnificent.
