Charlie Chan:
No barber shaves so close but another barber finds some work to do.

Sheriff Mack:
Reckon what he says is what you might call a cutting remark.

Roth:
If anyone knew where the formula was kept, I would, but I know nothing about it at all.

Charlie Chan:
[to Sheriff Mack] To get information from him is like putting empty bucket into empty well.

Sheriff Mack:
Yeah, he is kind of dried up.

Charlie Chan:
My boy, if silence is golden, you are bankrupt.

Sheriff Mack:
As my grandpa used to say: it's wonderful what doctors know. It's what they don't know that kill you.

Sheriff Mack:
[to suspects] When it comes to talkin', you people just don't enter into the spirit of the thing!

Harper:
Strange safety vault, eh, Roth? Both doors wide open to anyone finding that panel in the hall.

Roth:
Like a spider's web, sir. Easy to get into; impossible to get out of.

Harper:
[Sarcastically] And I'm the spider, huh?

Charlie Chan:
Things misplaced sometimes furnish very good clues.

Charlie Chan:
Murder know no law of relativity.

Eddie Chan:
Now that I'm here, Pop, uh, what type of murder have we got and how soon do you wish me to produce the murderer?

Charlie Chan:
Every time you open your mouth you put in more feet than centipede. Remain here and produce nothing but silence.

Eddie Chan:
Gentlemen, in this matter of thought I'm sure that I can assist both of you.

Charlie Chan:
[to others] He reach oversize decision with undersized brain.

Charlie Chan:
[to Eddie] Relax!

Birmingham Brown:
Well, move over troubles - here we come again!

Roth:
[to Harper over intercom] I must see you, sir. There's a murderer about the place.

Walter Meeker:
[to Harper] One of your relatives no doubt.

Roth:
[over intercom to the front gate] Hello? Who is there, please?

Officer Jim Kimball:
Police. Open the gate.

Roth:
Police? But no one called you here.

Officer Jim Kimball:
No, but I... I want to see someone in there. Open up.

Birmingham Brown:
You know what, Eddie? I got a theory on this murder.

Eddie Chan:
[chuckles] That's something I'd like to hear.

Birmingham Brown:
Yeah? Well listen. Now, the way I figure this thing out, the murderer must be on the inside; so, what we got to do is...

Eddie Chan:
What?

Birmingham Brown:
Stay outside.

Eddie Chan:
You see? That's the way to solve crime. Fast work and especially fast questioning.

Birmingham Brown:
If anybody want to live around here they got to do some fast runnin'.

Sheriff Mack:
This is way beyond me. Seems to me when folks asked me to run for sheriff, I missed a fine chance to keep quiet.

Charlie Chan:
Please. Pajamas loud enough without you make extra noise.

[last lines]

[Sheriff Mack is on road driving when Birmingham runs up to him]

Birmingham Brown:
Pardon me, Sheriff, but is this the road back to the city?

Sheriff Mack:
Yep. It's about three miles straight down that road. [notices Birmingham running alongside him] Hey, I didn't know my car had stopped.

Birmingham Brown:
You didn't. I just slowed down. Goodbye! [runs off, overtaking the car]
