We put a stage line across the country before they ever made rails. We still beat their time on short hauls. General Palmer was my commanding officer during the war. He saved my life once, Flip. That's one reason I'm doing this.

Frank 'Flip' Flippen:

Yes, I sure have - the Overland Stage lines. The railroads bring more people west than the stagecoach lines can. Most towns are off the railroad. They need service between them. It's as simple as that. We need the railroads to stay in business.
