I also trusted in my mother, but we both know she's been very atrocious lately. While you've been scrupulously unjust towards that girl and towards me, most of all you've been unjust towards yourself. How could you tell me such a boldfaced, injurious lie?

Moon Boon-Hong:
So what should that lie matter? She wouldn't stop taking away my son - she left me with no choice?

You're wrong. Although your reasons weren't always in the right, in all previously misguided actions, you more or less always maintained your dignity, and I could respect you for that; but, mother, in this last situation, you threw away that dignity, along with your son.

Moon Boon-Hong:

Kim Joo Won:
So from now on, I don't plan on living as a mother's son.

Moon Boon-Hong:

Kim Joo Won:
I'm really sorry, mother, but I've lived as your son for thirty-four years; now, for the rest of my life, I will live only as that woman's husband.
