Quotes from the news wire:
You cannot fight, and you should, for the right for the people ofUkraine to have a democraticstate and make decisions basedon voting and then not deal withthat same right to be upheldhere in America, so, as we look for and pray forthe people in Ukraine, we needto also deal domestically. And I think that connection isvery clear, and we need to makeit clear.
I thought it was a good speech, now, in this particular case, dealing with my friend and brother Joe, if he was trying to get votes, it was not the vote-getting speech … I'm a minister. Either you get up, and you try to persuade people of their sins and appeal to their better angels. But when they come to church, and they still have the jug of whiskey up under the pew, you say, you’re going to hell. I think he gave a ‘you’re going to hell’ speech.

You know, two weeks after I did the eulogy at George Floyd’s funeral I did the eulogy for a 1-year-old kid in Brooklyn killed by a stray bullet in a gang fight, so it is not true that those of us that want police reform do not also at the same time want to deal with crime.
