Quotes from the news wire:
I do n’t understand how this is a story. How is she supposed to know who was on the other side of the door ? How is she supposed to know how many people were on the other side of the door ? This has nothing to do with anything AOC or whatever, but I kept trying to figure out how the people that were actually involved in that siege, and all the chaos, could be criticizing someone else who was involved in it, she was explaining how, what she thought was going on in her particular situation.
I have saidI dont think that you should really listen to what he says, you should listen to what the experts say, im not actuallysure, if you want tobehonest, that we should carry that live. I think we should run snippets. I think we should do it afterwards and get the pertinent points to the American people because hes never, evergoing to tell you the truth.
I never said I thought it was terrible.Im telling you were in the middle of a pandemic right now, were in the middle of a pandemic and everytime this president comes out, he gives inaccurate information. So I dont understand why he would even come out and do it at all if he is going to confuse the American people even more ! You dont understand that ? Youre a governor ! Im surprised you dont understand that !

Listen, this is what Donald Trump tapped into. And in a lot of ways, guess what? He was right.
I think it’s heading into November and I think the president realizes his base, this is something that animates his base and he’s going to continue on with it, if the president cares about Americans' First Amendment rights, and his own First Amendment rights, and the rights of his people who support him, then he should care about the First Amendment rights of those people who have chosen to kneel during the national anthem.
Real patriotism is understanding what the Constitution means for all Americans and abiding by the Constitution, not doing some false presentation that you pretend to be a patriot while other people are around you, going to the concession stands, getting beer or fights in the stands or talking to each other with their baseball caps on. That is not real patriotism. Real patriotism is understanding that all of us are created equal and we have the choice to stand, kneel or sit or even attend a football game if we choose to.
