I think about how fortunate I felt to be able to have both of my children, i know what it feels like to have a connection to what is growing inside of your body. The more that we normalize the conversation about the things that affect our lives and bodies, the more people are going to understand how necessary it is to have protections in place.
I know that for many women right now, there is a sentiment of despair, but again, we have to band together and not wallow. We have to do the work. Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding, i have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health. As much as I love and respect Meg, she’s got security and a publicist and can be protected from all that, she and Harry can tell the media to stop. The rest of the family doesn’t have that luxury. I love her, [but] she may not want me saying anything. I refuse to be a victim of the media. I’m not going to let them disparage me, embarrass me personally and professionally and not defend myself…. When they got engaged and [they posed for] those photographs and they did that interview... It actually made your heart really feel warm towards them, she said.
