When I wanted to twist, especially on vault... I had no feeling where I am. I was really scared, it was quite tough for me, because I didn't understand why it came, and I couldn't stop it. It was just strange for me, and it was horrible. The feeling was really horrible.

Giulia Steingruber

Giulia Steingruber (born 24 March 1994) is a Swiss artistic gymnast. She is the 2016 Olympic bronze medalist on vault and a European champion in the individual all-around (2015), vault (2013, 2014, 2016, 2021) and floor exercise (2016). Steingruber also competed for Switzerland at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She is the first Swiss female gymnast to win the European all-around title and the first Swiss female gymnast ever to win an Olympic gymnastics medal of any color.
