Dear Mrs. Greenberg. I was your son Stuart's commanding officer. I wanted you to know he gave his life in the pursuit of his duty. His actions saved the lives of over 300 of his fellow crewmen. I have submitted his name for a commendation. He was - He was a good man, Mrs. Greenberg. And all the commendations won't make up for his absence at the dinner table. But you should know that he was a brave man who did what needed to be done and we all owe him our lives. My sincere condolences on your loss.
