What are you looking for?

Maggie Beare:
Something to cook the water in. We're having tea, remember?

Arthur Beare:
What happened to the electric kettle?

Maggie Beare:
Ah... It got broken!

Arthur Beare:
Already? We've only had it for two weeks.

Maggie Beare:
Yes, well they don't last long.

Arthur Beare:
Not around you, they don't. [picks up the electric kettle, which has a big burn mark on the bottom] Mum! You didn't put this on the gas again, did you? It's an electric kettle, you're supposed to plug it in.

Maggie Beare:
Yes, I know that. I plugged it in, but then I had to unplug it.

Arthur Beare:
Why?

Maggie Beare:
Because the cord won't reach from over there, to over here.
