Bella:
[shakes David's hand] David. Oh, you have a guitar! Is it your guitar?

Sharon:
[takes the guitar] No, no. It's my guitar.

[singing voices are heard from above]

Bella:
It's the Rudakovs. They are singers. Their flat is upstairs. Their voices are beautiful.

[David hangs a lamp. Sharon offers Bella a piece of the cake]

Sharon:
Please.

Bella:

Sharon:

Bella:

Sharon:

David:

[Bella leaves]

Sharon:

[Mr. Cohen knocks at the door. He is carrying a bread and salt-shaker on a tray]

Sharon:
Oh, David...

Mr. Cohen:
You are my new neighbours.

Sharon:
Come in.

[Mr. Cohen kisses the mezuzah and enters]

David:
My name is David.

Sharon:
And my name is Sharon.

Mr. Cohen:
