Ten minutes ago Stirlitz stopped the car. He felt he was falling asleep at the wheel. He hadn't had a sleep for almost two days, so he decided he must sleep for at least half an hour, or he wouldn't get to Berlin. Half an hour. Ten minutes had passed. His sleep was sound and calm. But in exactly twenty minutes he would wake up. It was also one of the habits he had worked out throughout the years. He would wake up and go to Berlin.
