Beginner's Luck1935

Spanky's grandmother:
[ After the show the MC is driving the family home. The grandmother is sitting in the front with Spanky and his mom in the back. The mother is still looking up to the ceiling and not moving, They put her overcoat over her shoulders] She wanted Spanky to win and be a big hit.

Master of Ceremonies:
[laughing] Well he certainly was and so was she !

Spanky's grandmother:
[laughing herself] Yes she was the biggest hit and really was the show stopper.

Friend of Spanky's mother:
[the MC is pulling up outside the house while some the mother's friends come over to find out how he did] How did Spanky do ?

Spanky's grandmother:
He won the prize !

Friend of Spanky's mother:
[Spanky's mother is taken out of the back seat and the ladies see she is wearing her overcoat over her shoulders and her slip is very visible] What happened to her?

Master of Ceremonies:
[the MC reaches into the backseat to where Spanky's costume is in a box and pulls out Spanky's helmet] She decided to go on the stage herself . [He puts the helmet on Spanky's mother's head and the helmet top begins to spin]
