when it’s time to break down and you’re lying in bed fighting off the urge to scream, when you’re lying there shivering, it’s not the memories that keep you going. instead it’s the dreams and the cats blaring evil and godlike into the blankness. at times like this, it’s best just to sit back and let what is be.

Scott C. Holstad

Scott C. Holstad is the author/editor of roughly 25-30+ print books (one, "Places," was nominated for a Pulitzer), as well as a contributor to some 20-30 more. He has published in many different areas such as poetry, scholarly research, tech, security, scientific/medical, nonfiction, etc. His work has appeared in thousands of print publications in at least 19 languages over 35 years. He's a 30-year member of the Authors Guild & can be found on Google Scholar as well as at the Poet's & Writers directory with a LibraryThing Author profile & a Goodreads Author profile, as well. He maintains a blog or two & writes a lot of book reviews. He studied English Lit, tech writing, creative writing, computer science, computer engineering, law, political science, software engineering, history, electrical engineering and is an alumnus of the University of Tennessee, California State University Long Beach, UCLA & Queens University of Charlotte, while having studied at other schools too. Taught for awhile, hated it, preferred to research & write. A polymath with many interests & not enough time. Knows a little about a lot & a lot about little. Loves hockey & collecting things like certain artwork from some of his favorite artists, quality & rare vinyl, custom designed/built high-end computers & custom/customized knives & similar tools of virtually every type. He has spent decades collecting hundreds of books autographed to him by everyone from completely unknown authors to world famous authors. Among his most loved include books autographed to him by Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Diane di Prima, Gerald Locklin, Edward Field, William Burroughs & Charles Bukowski.
