Quotes from the news wire:
The tragic terrorist attack on U.S. servicemembers that took the lives of 13 men and women in uniform was the direct result of the Biden administration’s botched withdrawal of Afghanistan, the United States should never have put our service members in harm’s way securing the Kabul airport while the Taliban overran the rest of the city left our men and women in uniform vulnerable and allowed terrorists to plan and execute an attack.
President Biden is either divorced from reality or he’s intentionally misleading the nation about what is actually happening in Afghanistan, the evacuation process is a nightmare. It is unconscionable that the most powerful nation on earth won’t guarantee the safe passage of American citizens, instead choosing to put their fate in the hands of the Taliban.

Some people want to portray what Donald Trump're doing now as some sort of quick action to prevent the removal of the special counsel because his termination is imminent. I don't believe that, i believe in my heart of hearts the President doesn't intend to remove the special counsel. But what I do believe is this is a policy that will have enduring value that will mean any future president will be subject to the same sort of standard.
It is critical that special counsels have the independence and resources they need to lead investigations, a back-end judicial review process to prevent unmerited removals of special counsels not only helps to ensure their investigatory independence, but also reaffirms our nation’s system of check and balances.
