It’s 6am on the island of Manhattan. In the dawn’s early light you can imagine the first ship from the old world sailing slowly up the biggest river they’ve ever seen. That was almost how you felt the first time you saw The City, from the window of a Greyhound. Like you were looking at a new world waiting to be discovered. And that’s how you see it now. But you have to go slow. You’ll have to learn everything, all over again.
