Second thief:
[to the bespectacled thief] Didn't you lock the door?

First thief:
[looks nervously at the door] Yes, I did.

Second thief:
[points at Gabby and Debby] Then how did they get into this house? Answer me!

Gabby Sela:
We came in... through the door.

First thief:
[steps toward Gabby menacingly] No, you didn't.

Debby Sela:
Yes, we did. The door was open.

[the bearded thief approaches Gabby, noticing the newspaper and the magic stick he is holding. He snatches the stick from Gabby]

Second thief:
What is this?

Gabby Sela:
It's nothing. It's just a...

Second thief:
[snaps] Sit down!

[fearfully, Gabby and Debby sit on a bench]

Second thief:
What are you doing with that newspaper?

Gabby Sela:
Nothing.

[the bearded thief examines the magic stick, then throws it away disdainfully. He steps to the other side of the room, deep in thought. The bespectacled thief approaches him]

First thief:
What are we going to do with them?

Second thief:
I don't know.

Debby Sela:
[pleading] Please, let us go!

First thief:
Do you think that they know?

Second thief:
Of course they know!

First thief:
So what are we going to do with them? That ship is going to leave at eight o'clock!

Second thief:
I know.

First thief:
[looks at his wrist-watch] It's seven o'clock now. We only have... one hour.

Second thief:
[impatiently] I know, I know!

First thief:
So what are we going to do with them?
