Al Manheim:
Out here [referring to Hollywood] , success is an aphrodisiac; it smells of [pause] , of musk and lavender. You've got to admit, even you yourself find it attractive. I've been watching you watch Sammy.

Kit Sargent:
You're partly right. Sometimes he drives me into such a rage, I could tear him apart. And the next minute I have a [pause] crazy desire to hold all that frenzy and violence. Does that make you uncomfortable?

Al Manheim:
Yes, but I'm glad you told me.

Kit Sargent:
So am I. You're a good guy to tell things to, Al. I feel as though I opened a window and hung my mind out to air [laughs] .

Al Manheim:
[Moving closer beside her and starting to put his arm around her shoulder] You know that when you open those windows...

Kit Sargent:
[Pulling away abruptly and moving quickly to another part of the balcony they are on] Shall I mix another batch of cocktails or just some more metaphors?

Al Manheim:
Alright, let's stop talking and just be clever.
