Quotes from the news wire:
As we go to events, we meet people, they introduce themselves, often they ask for a picture, and that’s not a meeting. A meeting is where you sit down in a room and have a discussion.

After one joined, others quickly followed, a few of his friends would see how successful he was becoming, but more important, that he felt fulfilled in his career, enjoyed running his business and was simply having fun.

I encourage other Republican presidential candidates to consider doing the same so that the voters can focus on a limited number of candidates who can offer a positive, conservative alternative to the current front-runner, this is fundamentally important to the future of our party, and, more important, the future of the country.
On that terrible day, radical Islamic terrorists unleashed unimaginable horror against our country, ending nearly 3,000 innocent lives. As we honor the victims and keep their families in our thoughts and prayers, we cannot forget the bravery of the hundreds of first responders who sacrificed their lives while trying to save others.
It’s why you see not only (Trump’s) numbers up, you see some of the other candidates who have not run for office before, they’re angry at Washington. Heck, I’m angry at Washington. I’m angry at my own party’s leadership, who told us they were going to repeal ObamaCare and we still don’t see a bill on the desk of the president.
I point out, time and time again, so many of you here aren't here because of any interests on behalf of your personal finances or your industries, you're here because you love America, you care deeply about the future, you care about your children and your grandchildren, and I think David and Charles Koch( Charles Koch) have harnessed that frustration and said — instead of just being angry about it, let's do something about it.
[ Gov. Scott Walker, R-Wisc. ] was confronted by a family of an undocumented worker in Scott Walker childhood hometown of Plainfield, Iowa during one of the final stops of his whirlwind presidential campaign launch tour on Sunday. Jose Flores, an undocumented immigrant who calls Wisconsin home, was accompanied by Jose Flores 13-year-old daughter Leslie and 7-year-old son Luis, both of whom were born in the United States and naturalized citizens … Shaking Flores ’ hand, Scott Walker said Jose Flores ‘ completely sympathize [ s ] with the situation you’re all in and others are in ’ but … ‘ The fact is, we’re a nation of laws, and unfortunately, the president last year, after saying 22 times before last year that he could n’t make the law himself, he said he was n’t the emperor … he decided to change the law even though the courts announced that you ca n’t do that. ’.
It's more of a matter how you live your life, i hope that people whether they agree or disagree of what I did over the last four years as governor and see even in the most challenging times, I try not to respond. I didn't lash out in anger. I didn't attack people whether you agree or disagree with me.
I walked around our property, where the residence is for the weekend, a good chunk of week at night, I'd be up until almost 10:30 at night walking around, i really wanted it to be my voice. I wanted to have direct conversation with the American people. I was going to ask for their vote. I wanted it to come from me and got rid of the podium, got rid of notes, got rid of a Teleprompter.
For me, the stability that I have, I try to keep a stable balance of life is to not be overwhelmed by the challenges that I face. Certainly, that's a part of who I am. And my belief in Christ, that certainly has an impact. But in terms of specific policy, no, I don't have a list of things that God gives me every morning to accomplish in my elected office. It's more how I act and interact, what I do and how I treat people.
When I went to Israel I not only met with Benjamin Netanyahu, I met with (Werner) Herzog and the other leaders. While they have many differences within that country they are very much aligned on their concern about the Iran deal I've talked to others around the country and around the world, this is something where, again, I haven't been briefed for the sake of getting ready for debate, I've been briefed from experts in military and foreign affairs for the last six or seven months to be prepared to be President of the United Sates.
Containment was something that might have been good during the Cold War, but we're facing an enemy in radical Islamic terrorism that's willing to take the fight to us and we need to make sure that our men and women in uniform not only have the resources to protect us and keep our country safe, but they need to have the resources to keep themselves safe.
This is a guy who has the audacity to be talking about schooling anyone when it comes to foreign policy and not just about Israel and nuclear weapons, the thing about that statement, a guy in the last year called ISIS, the jayvee squad, his administration continues to call Yemen a success story, Secretary of Bill Clinton gave Russia a reset button.
The Islamic Republic of Iran -- the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism -- is on the march throughout the Middle East, president Obama’s deal … risks provoking a nuclear arms race in the most volatile region of the world, one that threatens the survival of our closest regional ally Israel and our key Arab partners.
We had Bob Dole, John McCain, Mitt Romney. If it's just whoever's next up, that hasn't worked so well for the Republican party in the past, jeb's a good man. You're not going to hear me speak ill will of Jeb ... I just think voters are going to look at this and say, 'If we're running against Hillary Clinton, we'll need a name from the future -- not a name from the past -- to win.'.
I'm not comparing those two entities, what I meant was, it was about … the leadership we provided under extremely difficult circumstances, arguably, the most difficult of any governor in the country, and maybe in recent times. To me, I apply that to saying if I were to run and if I were to win and be commander in chief, I believe that kind of leadership is what's necessary to take on radical Islamic terrorism.
The big thing I thought Mitt Romney's campaign missed more than anything was we already knew the narrative that the economy was failing, and that there was a compelling case to get rid of the president, what we never heard — or at least didn't hear very clearly — was why Mitt Romney would be a better alternative.
